LowRid3R reacted to GabLeGamer in [REL] LPCallouts [EOL]
Hi @LowRid3RI just downloaded your update and tried it out. I got the hit and run call in Braddock Pass (near the tunnel in Sandy) and I loved it. The scene is amazing. There are however a lot of text mistakes while talking to the witnesses, some phrases don't make sense, almost feels like you started writing something, then changed your mind but didn't delete the beginning of the sentence.
    #1: (victim)
Player says: How do you know. Have you already talked to involved people?
Should be: How do you know? Have you already talked to the people involved?
Cop answers: Unfortunately not. I took care about getting EMS and the fire team here.
Should be: Unfortunately not. I called it in to EMS and Fire department first.

    #2 (witness 1)
Witness says: I was driving on the second lane at suddenly the guy on the first one pulled over.I reacted and flipped the car.
Should Be: I was driving in the right lane and suddenly, the guy on my left swerved into my lane. I tried to avoid him but overcorrected and flipped the car.
Officer says: Did the person set the indicator, or did he just pull to your side?
Should be: Did he use his indicator? Or did he just merge into your lane?
Witness says: No. He just pulled to my lane without any notice.
Should be: No, He just merged into my lane without notice.
Witness says: Thanks for your info. Maybe San Andreas Highway Patrol will contact you again.
Should be the Officer who says that, and should be: Thanks for the information, we will contact you again if we need anything else.

    #3 (witness 2)
Officer says: Hi SAHP. Are you the second involved person of this crash?
Question doesn't really make sense, she wouldn't know if she's second, third or what ever, should be: Hi SAHP, Where you involved in this crash?
Witness says: Hi yes, I was driving behind the car that flipped. (that line is fine)
Officer says: So can you describe the situation that caused this accident?
Should be: Can you tell me what you saw?
Witness says: Sure, A vehicle pulled into the guys car with any notice.. One happened to the other and BAAM.
Should be: Sure, A vehicle swerved and hit the guy's car without notice. They hit each other and that guy lost control and his car flipped.
The rest is fine, except at the end, you switched witness for officer again, like in #2, Witness says: Thanks for your time, if you need anything then contact SAHP.
Should be Officer that says: Thanks for your time, if you remember anything else, please contact the SAHP.

Also, the text disappears really fast. I don't know if you have a way to make it visible on screen longer? Give people time to read it.

    Hope this helps 🙂

@epicmrjuan i'm facing the same issue. Problem is that ELS is coded with scripthook.
Problem is without the help of the developer its not possible to access it with ragehook as we would need the entrance point of the assembler file ( *.asi ) to access the function and assign it to an entity in Rage...

So from my point, will stop with ELS integration within my callouts...

@BeastyBill88 You're right, the editor allows you to set the models to anything you like.. ( so RDE is not a must , but it uses the same function/interface ). After the next release, plans are to integrate computer+ as well as a new callout type, maybe some more location for the existing ones.

this is how the editor will look like.
I'm using xml serializsation for the strings.. therefore the editor is more usefull than directly editing the xml file...
hope this is what you expected...

@BeastyBill88 RDE will be an option, not a must, if you have installed it then you can use it, if not, default models will be loaded.

@Dippa thx for the log..  i think i now know why this happens. Still needs to some tests.

@Yard1 the RDE implementation takes more time then i thougth.. as there is a lot of models, i basically coded an editor to the LPC INI editor where you can edit all model names.. i will need an additional week for this...

Instead edit this hub thread with any information you deem relevant. If information is critical (i.e some things Cyan posts) it can be pinned, and added to the hub. Then unpinned later when it is no longer critical. The hub thread will then maintain the link to that thread.

General Guidelines For Using This Forum
Please adhere to these where possible, as they will help to keep the forum clean and useable. Remember that your posts act as information sources to users as well, not just means to get help.
    •  Make use of title tags: [Solved] [Resource] [Guide] [Request] etc (I would recommend putting these at the start of your title)
    •  Make sure your titles are crystal clear, not single words. Remember users may search for similar issues, you wouldn't search Google for "help" and hope one of the 4,890,000,000 results is the one you need.
    •   Always put your log files either as an attachment or copied into a spoiler, similarly code snippets should be placed inside the code tags

Suggesting Content For This Hub Thread
If you have any suggestions for threads, resources or useful links that you think deserve to be highlighted in this thread please PM myself (LukeD) with your suggestion. Make sure you title your PM "API Dev Forum Idea" or similar so I can keep track of them. Alternatively you can direct message or tag me on the discord server mentioned above, please note I only respond to this on desktop however, so replies may be slow.
If you want to send me resources, be considerate of user safety and concerns regarding links.
    •  Don't post advertising or shortened URL's, I want a full link to the resource that I can read.
    •  Do give me a brief description of what you're sending, not just "hey this is useful".
    •  Do provide reasons for why you think it's needed in the hub thread. The more you justify it the better.
In cases where you link a post or thread to me, I will parse that post for direct links. If I can avoid bouncing users around the forum I will. For example the discord server link above was taken out of Stealth22's post. Posts may then be subject to removal if necessary.
I will credit all links where applicable, all I'm doing is concatenating the information into one thread, credits are deserved for those providing the resources or guides.

This hub thread is an attempt at cutting down the increasing number of pinned threads. Please don't ask for threads to be pinned in this forum section. Only critical, need to know information will be pinned. After a while it will then be moved to this hub when it is no longer critical, but still useful.

This forum section is subject to moderation as per usual. Any thread that is linked in this hub however, will be exempt from the necro posting rules. As they will be acting as pinned threads (which are already exempt).

Hi all, it seems that the new maximum radius is maybe set to small.. Therefore i decided to add an additional field to the editor so everybody can define it themself...
will be included in the next update.
Regarding the GTA5.exe, in the LPC Editor when you go to select folder. you won´t see your GTA5.exe, as the windows dialog for selection folder does not show the content of folders, just the folders itself... so just select your GTA5 Folder, afterwards the editor is doing a check if GTA5.exe is existing in this folder.. if yes then you will be routed to the configs, if not you will get a notification

    Hi all..

i´m facing some serious problems within my callouts.
I spawn 2 additional units somewhere on the map... mostly far away from the callout scene.
When i set the parameter for letting them drive to a specific vector 3 they just don´t drive. When i teleport myself to their spawnpoint, then they start driving to the correct vector3...
    I tried with following lines:
    //THIS _ped_cop_help01.Tasks.DriveToPosition(_veh_cop_help01, _areas[1]._wait_position, 20, VehicleDrivingFlags.Emergency, 2f); //OR NativeFunction.CallByName<uint>("TASK_VEHICLE_DRIVE_TO_COORD", _ped_cop_help01, _veh_cop_help01, _areas[1]._wait_position.X, _areas[1]._wait_position.Y, _areas[1]._wait_position.Z , 20f, 1, _veh_cop_help01.Model.Hash, 1074528293, 2f, -1); i have absolutely no clue where the problem is... on both lines the do the same...
Ped and Vehicle is spawned on OnCallAccepted with:
    _veh_cop_help01 = new Vehicle(_cops[0]._backup_veh_model, _cops[0]._backup_position, _cops[0]._backup_heading); _veh_cop_help01.IsPersistent = true; _veh_cop_help01.IsEngineOn = true; _veh_cop_help01.IsVisible = true; _ped_cop_help01 = new Ped(_cops[0]._backup_ped_model, _veh_cop_help01.Position, 0f); _ped_cop_help01.IsPersistent = true; _ped_cop_help01.IsVisible = true; _ped_cop_help01.WarpIntoVehicle(_veh_cop_help01, -1); BR
