RayDaBeastreacted to ineseri in Community Team and Staffing Update 2015-12-01As I said; We will evaluate this on a case by case basis. In most cases if a member has been banned longer than six months, their account will be unblocked and they will be free to come back if they want to.

RayDaBeastreacted to Hastings in Community Team and Staffing Update 2015-12-01Does that mean that TheDivineHustle is coming back? :D

RayDaBeastreacted toDeactivated Memberin Community Team and Staffing Update 2015-12-01I think the new warning point system will be much nicer than the current one, perhaps that is because I have 3 of the 5.

RayDaBeastreacted to ineseri in Community Team and Staffing Update 2015-12-01When LSPDFR was released, we knew it’d be a big hit. How big of a hit it would be was hard to imagine. With the answer in hand, I can honestly say that it is above expectations. Half a million downloads already and we’re not even at the final version. It’s truly remarkable and we’re all impressed. Stay tuned for more LSPDFR 0.3 related news in the coming future.
It’s not what I’d like to talk about today however, this is more of a introduction of me and an update on new policies and titles.
First off, hi. I’m ineseri and most of you probably know me already. I’ve been a member of the Community Team since 2014 and I just recently stepped up to the position of Community Manager, where my responsibilities are managing the moderation on the site, taking over this responsibility from Iconography who is now in the position of Expansion and Community Engagement. What this means is that he will manage our social media, content throughout the website and generally growing the community.
My hope is that these changes will bring positive effects to the Community as a whole and not to be too confusing for you, the LCPDFR.com member.
What this essentially means is that any issue with a moderator, policies or site moderation should be brought to me instead of Iconography.
Moving on to some policy changes: A few months ago we introduced the “five-strike” system, which would mean that after 5 Warning Points, a member would be permanently banned with no possible revocation. This system is scrapped as we don’t like banning people, especially not permanently if it can be avoided.
Permanent bans will still be issued in special cases such as spambots, but we won’t be issuing them for 5 warning points any more. Instead, we will be using a new system where reaching 5 Warning Points will result in a 6 month ban. By using six month bans, we give people the chance to learn from their mistakes and come back after six months if they so desire.
Does this mean previously banned members will be allowed back? We will evaluate this on a case by case basis. In most cases if a member has been banned longer than six months, their account will be unblocked and they will be free to come back. I have slowly started this process to interact said policies and will change the Community Guidelines to reflect this.
On to some other news regarding the Community Team. We’ve had to departures from the Community Team, starting with Original Light who decided to retire a few months ago. I’d like to thank Original Light for all the hard work he’s done over the years on LCPDFR.com
He is now in a Testing Team position, ensuring that LSPDFR is relatively bug-free for release.
Another departure is regarding Sgt. Jackson who has retired from the position of full moderator to French Forum Moderator and he will keep moderating this section, obviously.
If you have any questions, please, let me know and I will do my best to answer them either here or via PM!

RayDaBeastgot a reaction from sjain in Steam not detecting Ragehook install? No need to be sorry, hope everything works well :)
-
RayDaBeastgot a reaction from sjain in Steam not detecting Ragehook install?I see. I'm not 100% sure if steam keeps track on how many hours you play if you launch the game via Ragehook. I may be wrong though. As for the overlay I can understand why you disabled the overlay though haha. I'm pretty sure you can edit the keys in-game so that it does not interfere with SHIFT+TAB.
-
RayDaBeastreacted to sjain in Steam not detecting Ragehook install? My modded game works perfect - I love it. Really fun. But the steam fps counter, steam overlay and my in-game hours don't show up anywhere on steam or ingame, I did disable the steam overlay in steam settings, cause it gets in the way of the GTA 5 keyboard controls, but shouldn't it leave everything else alone? Thanks :D

RayDaBeastgot a reaction from DivineHustle in Police Officer Shootout (Body-Cam)I agree,
I was amazing how fast the police responded outside.
Some wonder why they shot so many shots, the answer is simple, when your trained to become a cop, they tell you if your ever in this type of situation, your brain will contunie to pull the trigger until your brain feels that you are safe.
Pretty interesting to be honest.
One thing I forgot to mention,
I love it how (@4:30) Sgt.Green moved the knife away from the table.
Pretty good police work to be honest.

RayDaBeastgot a reaction from DivineHustle in Police Officer Shootout (Body-Cam)Right, but if you were Sgt.Green Im sure you would of protected your life and others buy using (justified) deadly force.

RayDaBeastgot a reaction from Synthacrat in Police Officer Shootout (Body-Cam)You are 100% correct. I think that was the only mistake I saw in this video.
-
RayDaBeastreacted toDeactivated Memberin Police Officer Shootout (Body-Cam)Wow, pretty scary stuff! That perp had a clear shot on the second officer, all he had to do was move his arm a little faster
-
RayDaBeastreacted to Riley24 in Police Officer Shootout (Body-Cam)Sad that it was suicide by cop. This is an example of why we absolutely need body cameras on every police officer. You can clearly see from the video that it was justified, they had no way of knowing it was a pellet gun. In a lot of cases, the testimonies of officers after a shooting is misleading or not the whole truth, or simply their perception of events. If these officers had testified without the video, its very possible that it would have sparked needless public outrage. Compare this case to the case of Tamir Rice, and you can see the difference that video makes. Glad these officers are safe and that they have the video to prove their innocence. It just sucks that the interaction had to end that way,

RayDaBeastreacted toDeactivated Memberin Police Officer Shootout (Body-Cam)The way the guy held the gun as he was pushed away, I was a little curious on how it wasn't fired in the situation until realizing it was a pellet gun. Serves em' right.
-
RayDaBeastreacted to Grantalaxy in Police Officer Shootout (Body-Cam)Saw this, the guy was doing a suicide by cop. That gun was only a BB gun. Sucks :/ However, did you see how Sgt. Green pushed the silverware out of the way and watched as the suspect walked by? Pretty good move.
EDIT: Here's the article
