  1. It shouldn't, if you replaced police3 and don't have any weird handling lines for police3.
  2. No problem, I didn't understand any of this about 6-7 months ago. There is a great deal of information here though if you search for it, and people here are mostly helpful if you have questions. I will say, to help yourself if you haven't already, use a mods folder, and always make a backup of everything you replace.
  3. Traffic Policer is loading up, maybe the Assorted Callout problem is preventing it from working.
  4. Well, I'm not Albo, but I see in your log you need to update Assorted Callouts.
  5. That's because LSPDFR 0.3 decided auto zooming radar was a good idea. Honestly, I hate that almost more than anything else they did, aside from the ghost town traffic stop feature.
  6. yep, because I bugged the piss out of him to add a modifier key. you can set it to none in the .ini and just keep using F6.
  7. Just download the LASD version, it actually comes with both the OSS slicktop and the normal sheriff car with a lightbar (you can extract the oiv and see this). Or maybe I'm mistaken and it's the OSS version that comes with both. If the version you downloaded has police4 and sheriff model files, that's the right one which contains both. Basically, unless you're driving the car and select the livery with a trainer, you have no control over which one AI cops will be driving. So to answer your question, you'll see random liveries on AI controlled cars and there is currently no way to govern that (but I think Albo1125 is working on something like that or may have already done it if you check out Law Enforcement Jurisdiction Script on this site). Backup.xml has an option to specify liveries but as far as I can tell, it doesn't work. So for carvariations.meta, if you want to use this as 'police' and not police4, you need to extract the current one that the oiv installer probably already placed in your mpchristmas2 folder, and change all instances of police4 to police. The .meta file for mpchristmas2 is pretty small and I think the police4 is probably going to be at the top. I don't use oiv installers because I like to know exactly what is happening and what's being edited. police4 is the default unmarked slicktop unit. I think in the case of bxbugs OSS CVPI he actually does have some skins (liveries) on the OSS model, but it doesn't have a lightbar at all. That's why you see the park ranger skin, etc. If you're okay with that, you can proceed to make the .meta edit and everything is good. I just meant you made this a little more difficult by renaming the model files. Personally, I like to stick with the theme of the game and install my slicktops to police4 and fbi. It's your game though, so do whatever you want, just make sure you make the proper meta edits and everything should be good.
  8. Okay, I'm not really sure what OSS stands for, but in this case it means unmarked. That is why it's meant to replace police4. So unless you want an unmarked slicktop replacing 'police' you shouldn't have renamed the files. 1) you need to place the carvariations.meta file in update\x64\dlcpacks\mpchristmas2\dlc.rpf\common\data for the sirens to look correct. But since you renamed the model files, you're going to have to make an edit to that file and change police4 to police. You've basically made this way more complicated than it needs to be. 2) liveries are just png files that you replace in the model.ytd file. In the case of this mod you replace the vicz_sign_xx in the .ytd file. 3) See above, but it signifies it's an unmarked unit. 4) Just extract the .oiv file as I mentioned, and put the carvariations.meta in mpchristmas2 as above and the vehicles.meta in update\common\data\levels\gta5. Again though, if you keep it named as 'police', you're going to need to edit the carvariations.meta and change police4 to police.
  9. an OIV file is just a .zip, basically. You can extract it with winrar or 7Zip like a normal archive.
  10. Don't go on duty the traditional way. Load your MP Ped up, get him/her the way you want, open RPH console via F4 and type ForceDuty.
  11. Try this. If you still get texture loss, I don't know why. http://pastebin.com/BsGHCbNL
  12. Did you update your game to the new version yet? I am still using the old version. I could pastebin my gameconfig.xml, but I'm not sure why your textures are disappearing, I've never seen that happen before.
  13. Maybe revert to the original gameconfig.xml, possible you made a mistake somewhere?
  14. Hmm... no I've never seen that happen before.
  15. @w35 Got a crash using this, didn't even have a partner at the time, I was just sitting in my car scrolling trainer options (Simple Trainer)
  16. I know right. To make a long story short, I had a lot of civilian replacement vehicles in addition to all the police replacements and addons, and I started getting game memory errors. So I cut it back and they stopped.
  17. Just assign a different key to Skin Control. Works fine for me.
  18. Thanks for the plug. I wanted to thank you again for letting me beta test this callout and being gracious enough to let me post videos about it. Wilderness Callouts 0.5 is going to be a big thing and provide a lot of entertainment for everyone who plays LSPDFR. @alexguirre is the man.
  19. That is interesting. I haven't run into that yet with the size limit on mpchristmas2. I divide my addon cars among that and mpluxe (stay away from mpluxe2 as after this latest update, it doesn't like addon vehicles). I can post my current gameconfig.xml if that helps, but I scaled back all the replacement civilian cars I had. I now stick with replacement cop car models, maybe 6-7 civilian replacements, and however many addons for civilian and police cars (I'd have to tally it up). I found that no matter what you do or how beast of a rig you have, GTA5 will start throwing up memory errors if you go beyond a certain amount of cars. I assume it's just a RAGE engine limitation.
  20. you can install any vehicle to patchday8ng and it will override all other dlc/regular folders as it's the newest.
  21. This explains it pretty well... I guess I should have said paging file/virtual memory.
  22. Well, no, because if I replace police with a model say intended for police3, if I don't change the carvariations sirensettings to match up with police3, the lights are going to be all effed up. So I'd think the same would apply here, but again, you're swapping out a motorcycle for a car so.
