  1. I'm not going to argue over the fact that you want to be a part of the H&S team but you provide no public support, there's no way you'll be in there with such a smart-ass attitude. If you think you can fix the problem yourself, feel free to PM him and fix his problem yourself if you feel that selfish.
  2. Seeing != Reading. :no:
  3. Did you take the time to read the support page before clicking "start a topic"? I suggest you do so by clicking the Get Support link above.
  4. Yeah I know, but I was going to change my post just after it but my son started crying so I had to go, in fact, it's already changed. :P
  5. Why PM? They might help future problems...
  6. I didn't see anything wrong considering your diagnostic wasn't posted when I replied to your post. I just remembered that when somebody installs mods and that they work and when installing another, it fails, it's because of the version.
  7. Here's one, just from Google, http://games.softpedia.com/get/Patch/Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-Patch.shtml
  8. Update GTAIV to the latest version.. Why is it that people ignore this step? YOU WILL NOT LOSE ANY MODS.
  9. Well it allows you to have strobes and rotators, see my video:
  10. Rockstar does everything to prevent us from modifying the game. They are aware that almost 75% of the GTA community likes to roleplay as a police officer, yet they don't care because they never listen to what we say.
  11. Depending on the car, I always use HALOGEN and C-02 or A-07 with C-01 for the arjent. Otherwise, on my FBI CVPI, I use A-01. :P
  12. Yes it was added. It's a very low percentage though.
  13. It shouldn't be required, because a script will find the C++ prerequisites, no matter what version or structure they were built for.
  14. If his folder for program files has x86, then he needs the C++ for x64.

Actually, the plates, unAndreas San Andreas, cannot be changed. And such feature would require a looping timer to be active, checking for pedestrians, cars and generating fake plate info. Such feature is far too resource intensive to be added - sorry. For a license scanning system that is. Additionally, it is not possible to edit the police computer to add or remove things. An alternative would be to check a fake-plate when pulling over a vehicle.
  16. Not possible - sorry. 1- As a police officer, you have a predefined patrol area, that designs which calls you will receive. You will NEVER drive anywhere near more than 5 miles for a call, unless it's an "officer in need of help". 2- They already happen a lot on the base game, just look on the streets and you will see tons of people run away from the police, just simulate from there. 3- Subway stations already have police officers everywhere, why would they dispatch any other officer than them? 4- That, I cannot agree more, a lot of the police officer's work is to hear complaints and warn people. That said, I'm being harsh but the truth is, LCPDFR is built onto bringing the REALISM of the police officer's job, not like PPM who will have you drive 3 islands for a robbery in progress or something as dumb as that. :whistling:
  17. Yep, for now they are the only ones. You may simulate missions yourself though. :)
  18. You should always get out of the apartment where you first spawn to start the mod, otherwise you could crash. When you hit ALT-P, you should see yourself in front of the closest police station with some text indicating you how to work out. On what version of GTAIV are you on? It's odd that the program stops responding, maybe Jay can help you out more on that one.
  19. First, it could be a great idea, but couldn't go anywhere near the reality. To start, there is no sound for "walk backwards towards the sound of my voice" and a ped cannot walk backwards anyways. Although, they could get out of the car and stay in position, or ultimately turn around to complain and MAYBE get a gun out. Great idea. :)
  20. I wouldn't say it's NVidia's fault. In the end, Rockstar Games didn't take any time to make any changes when porting the game to PC from PS3. While we all know that PS3 works well, it's because GTAIV was made for it, hence why on PC, there are lots of memory leaks, and still no fix. Another fun fact: Rockstar will not ever fix this because they don't endorse modifying their game, they hate that. Now, I just hope that they didn't add a memory leak if the models were changed, on purpose... that would be a failure, totally. Remember, it's not much of a surprise, they tried the same with GTASA.
  21. You will have to wait until GTAPoliceMods.com comes back online (tomorrow or after tomorrow). And it is possible to see the ELS version on the ALT-M menu, ingame. ELSv6 brought AI support but if you go over 4 stars, you may get problems with it.
  22. /me has no PS3 :D
  23. The mod works with single player mostly, and is recommended for SP. Click the "Get Support" link on the top of the page here and run the tests then reply to your topic with those so we can find out the reason why the mod is not loaded. (in your case)
