Do any of the ENB's +Graphics Tweakers work ok with 1.0d?

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone has any of the various ENB's/Ice-Enhancer etc running well without any issues in conjunction with LCPDFR 1.0d? I've got a fairly healthy spec PC and as far as the standard settings for graphics in GTA IV are concerned I've got them maxed out as far as I can tell. But looking at some of the screenshots here on the forums I can't help but think my graphics don't look as good as other peoples?

My system is:- Intel i7 920 D0 overclocked to 4.0Ghz on an Asus P6X58-DE motherboard with 16Gb Corsair Vengeance RAM. GPU is an Asus 760GTX Direct CU II O/C card. I game on an Acer 24" LCD screen at 1920x1080. My GTA IV is installed via Steam and is patched up to the latest release, 1.0.7.0.

As I say, sometimes I look at my visuals and think the textures aren't as sharp as they could be and a lot of the straight lines look really jagged to me. FPS wise I can't complain, runs smooth as silk.

Any ideas as to tweaks I can try to improve things or has anyone got any recommendations as to what ENB type deal I could make use of but one which won't cause any issues with LCPDFR?

Thanks in advance for any info!

Ok, thanks. I'm going to backup my current GTA IV/LCPDFR installation folder as its running very well with very little in the way of crashes or issues. I'm just wary of adding more mods to it in case I break something. I'll give one of the ENB's available a go, can anyone recommend one in particular? Specifically one which will work well with 1.0.7.0?

Ok, back to the drawing board - I installed CryENBV2 and it appeared to work ok within the game until I activated LCPDFR. It then immediately gave me the 'LCPDFR has encountered an error.......blah,blah,blah' message every 5-10 seconds.

I've deleted my GTAIV folder and replaced it with a backup to get rid of CryENBV2 and go back to 'vanilla' graphics. Pity, as it looked pretty darn good.

From my own personal experience and development, my graphics mod works fine on GTA IV with LCPDFR 1.0d only and no other mods:

If your game crashes with my ENB, then it is due to one of your mods and not my graphics settings.

Thanks guys, I'll give them a shot. Do they differ from the CryENB V2? Only mods I'm running in conjunction with LCPDFR is ELS v 8.0, DoubleDopplers British Essex Police Pack vehicle and ped skins and TrafficFlow to fix the taxi bug that the high poly models in the Essex Police Pack cause. I didn't remember and save the logfile when the game was crashing with CryENB V2 but if any of the above cause issues I'll grab a logfile this time.
