  1. The updated google map radar has a pause map, you just have to zoom in on the map a lil bit.
  2. ALPRS runs all the time on the newer cop cars... Or, just hit a key, and a pop up saying stolen, not stolen, not registered, things of that nature. It doesnt need a plate number. It may not be as realistic, but its probably an easier way to do it. Forget about a database, just make it random
  3. Yeah, I think itd be a great idea. It would be completely random, so pulling over the same car twice would give you two complete plates. I think itd just be like an in game ALPRS.
  4. right! There is a typo (It says .RDF, but it should be .RPF, cant remember which file tho) and that px2 deconstruction thing you have to rename and add .ivaud at the end. Edit. Also tested it out on multiplayer. It worked pretty good, except for when you look at other players dogs in the vehicles, theyre either too high,or too low, but mine stayed the same. Its probably not the coordinates as we all have the same vehicles and havent touched our ini files. Never crashed tho.
  5. Wow, so I decided to use the MDC again... and kinda disappointed. For some reason I autogenerate the same couple of names over and over again, and most of them are deceased! They look pretty alive to me when I check them. Sure, I can imagine one or two giving me fake ID's but thats too much. When I used it awhile back, there were names oplenty and the only issue I had was with peoples addresses being in the prison... Is this just user error?
  6. Mayhaps you already have those keys assigned? If not, I have no idea why it wouldnt work. Id ask on the policing script post... Braveheart is pretty quick to reply
  7. Nah, its not the P thing. It looks like a grainy video camera and it fades in slowly, stays, and fades out slowly. I removed my ENB way before this issue happened. It honestly looks like a bad digital connection on a TV with supersized black and white pixels.
  8. Lately Ive noticed as I play sometimes the screen starts to slowly go fuzzy/pixelated. It fades in and then after a while fades back to normal. The pause screen is always okay, its just in game. Any thoughts?
  9. This is a mix of different agency's, but its what I go by -How/when a cop would and would not use his lights/siren Priority calls, such as crimes in progress or when time is a factor. Locally, our officers can choose when to respond "Code 3" -How/when cops use unmarked or partially marked vehicles There's not really a statute, but our traffic section uses unmarked, and obviously gang enforcement so they can stay undetected -When a cop would use deadly force When the officer feels that without using lethal force, himself or others could be severely injured or killed. This is a sole judgement call on the part of the cop -When/if a cop would ever use his vehicle as a weapon Same answer as deadly force. If its going to stop the suspect from maiming or killing, its better to use it and answer for it in court -When would a cop call off a chase This is a touchy subject. If the suspect was being stopped for a simple infraction "summary in canada, or misdemeanor in America" and he runs at a high rate and dangerously, air units would be called and units would break pursuit. If he is wanted for severe infraction "Indictable in Canada, or Felony in America", the chase would continue as letting that suspect go could endanger more lives than the pursuit. In game, make a judgement call -What are the different ways a cop would respond to a call i.e. obeying regular traffic laws/slightly modified traffic laws/going full on lights and sirens full "safe" speed These are code calls. Code 1 or non priority response, is to respond cold, all traffic laws and no lights or sirens. Code 2 or expedited. This is a little different depending on agency, but usually normal speed and clearing intersections with lights Code 3 or priority, is to respond hot. Fastest speed that is safe, lights and sirens. Hope this helped
  10. Seriously? Buddy, just own up that you weren't aware of the rule. We all make giant GTA mistakes that require us to find back up files, which always results in a reinstall. The fact that you tried to make it look if you were asking a community based soley off GTA 4 if they had the files to run it seems kind of ridiculous. Just man up and say " Sorry guys, I didn't realize that was against the rules". Never too late to redeem yourself.
  11. Its the same kind of idea, through spark IV.
  12. To install the car mods, you need a program called sparkIV (simpler, I think) or Open IV. There is a learning curve, but its not too complicated. Look it up on youtube. I have a separate folder full of car mods, all you have to do is unzip them and install with spark 4. If your computer is a bit slower, definitely do what yard said and find low poly mods.
  13. Good to hear! For police models, I love the cvpi and charger pack. The LA pack is also pretty good. Just be weary of texture loss and frequent crashing (possibly) if you have ELS. Honestly, there are so many models, its hard to pick favourites. Edit* Here is my favourite CVPI to date, just because of the awesome galaxy lightbar. http://www.mediafire.com/?u684cyjyofbbt1q
  14. It should be in the scripts file. Anything that says firstresponse (possibly in the main directory as well, I dont remember). My advice is to uninstall GTA completely, and reinstall. Once you do that, copy everything and make a clean, untouched, GTA that you can fall back on if you make an unfixable error (Ahem.. ENB). I know steam takes awhile, but itll be worth it in the long run. Once you reinstall everything, reinstall LCPDFR and if it still doesnt work, we will go from there. But it should. The steam install directory is always confusing for an install, as it is so long, but make sure everything goes into its appropriate place.
  15. This seems to be causing more confusion than needed. Alt P should bring up a message saying drive to a station. Im not sure if it matters, but use Left alt just in case. If that doesnt work, Id suggest reinstalling LCPDFR
  16. Thats exactly what I came here to say! A Gallardo now a Veyron? I have a few questions about my tax dollars!
  17. Zoom in on the pause map and it will show up, at least it should
  18. The only issue with pressing 3 is that the cops go homicidal.
  19. Be warned... The FDLC idea is cursed. Many have tried, none succeeded. But if you actually make it through, Ill be downloading it! The FDLC mod is kind of like and Indiana Jones adventure, save for the fact that it hasn't ended positively for Indy.
  20. This is unbelievable! LCPDFR practically changed GTA into an actual cop game that has never existed before... You can pull people over, call for back up, run peoples names on a police computer... And still people whine and complain?! It is unacceptable. Show appreciation for what you have. This post just makes you sound like a spoiled brat.
  21. Liberty City Officer Safety: If there is AI in their car, you better stay in yours!
  22. There be trolls afoot. Back to the question, people tend to hate them until they need them. Cops up here don't make much, but its alot of work to get hired on. They check over 30 references and do a polygraph. But people endure so that they can help the public that so unfairly judges them all the time.
  23. Again, thanks for all the hard work and helping me out! Im not a fan of the execution style roadblocks, is there maybe a way of replacing that with a car and spike strips? If not, thats totally cool. It is Liberty City after all.
  24. Ive tried to put a savegame in the appdata gta folder. It shows up in game but unfortunately I get some sort of error... Ugh.
