MORE TIRE SMOKE!!!
Hey guys this has been a long journey that I have been on wanted to create more tire smoke and make it more realistic. I can do it, I just need maybe a point in the right direction. Anyone know where the file and data are that write the smoke script? I have heard it is hard coded a long time ago, but I am here to search this out more once again. Any thoughts or ideas, please let me know. Thanks.

Spitfire7's El Segundo Police Department CVPI
Thanks guys. I tried to get as close to the real thing as possible so thats why the lights are the way they are. Also the ligthbar is unlocked and made by KevinDV of Accurate Studio. I had to edit it a lot to make it more like the real El Segundo car. The bar is still not exact as the real car, but the light patterns are spot on. The cool thing about the El Segundo car is that their secondary pattern is still a crazy strobe flash and nothing in the front. Another option is with steady burns in the front, but I cant do that to get the strobe look in the rear. Front steadies would flash. So I went with the first switch position with just rear lights. So where do you get the matchbox car? I have seen pictures of those online. Do you guys live in El Segundo as well?

Announcing ELS V7 (UPDATE 02/05)
Pretty sure, because I have dabbled into already making 3 stage lighting systems on my cars. I believe we are getting the 3rd lighting setting from the old takedown "O" feature. So instead of only having 2 settings, a primary and secondary, as well as the takedown feature, we now have the option to easily use takedowns as a 3rd light setting. I am crossing my fingers we then can also use takedowns completely separate so in a sense 4 light options for modders to work with. That last part may not be doable though. For the 3 lighting patterns we could do this before and like I said, I have tried to do that with all the cars I work on already, but in ELS V6 that was harder to get to. T menu O menu. Now its just one click in V7 right? Correct me if Im wrong moderator. Here are some cars that I worked on the lights for the 3 light setting for ELS V6. I believe for modders it will be very similar to that for V7. We will all just be utilizing the takedowns for lighting patterns instead of just white takedowns. I wish one of the beta testers would try one of these cars so that it would answer this question once and for all.

Spitfire7's Realistic Vehicle Bullet Damage mod
You can try to find a handling editor out there that is compatible with EFLC and this same concept would still apply for that editor.

Announcing ELS V7 (UPDATE 02/05)
A cool little trick for this is to use ELS A-07. Parts wont come off. The idea is that everytime a light refreshes it re-fixes the car. Most light patterns actually flash and nothing is on for a moment and at that point the car is acceptable to damage and door loss. In A-07 there is always a light on and the car is pretty much always protected and no more falling off doors. Just a little trick to get rid of all the doors flying into the streets. Caine and other modders working on this project, you might want to take this into consideration. hint hint.

Spitfire7's LAPD loading screens mod. Nothing better to get you hyped up and ready for action than some cool pictures of police in action. No more GTAIV weird guy loading screens. This will replace that with some cool LAPD in action shots.- 4 comments

SPITFIRE7's Realistic Vehicle bullet damage mod. I got tired of the cars always blowing up after a small amount of bullet hits. Not realistic at all!!! I wanted to be able to do the scene from Terminator 2 and blow the heck out of police cars and other cars without an explosion. Now you can in this mod the realistic way! Now the car will still blow up from Rockets, grenades, etc. as well as a whole lot of bullets for a long time, but this doesn't come fast. IMPORTANT: This is not compatible with EFLC. If you can find a handling editor compatible with EFLC, then this same concept would still apply and work for that I assume. There are two ways of doing this. The easiest way and the pretty easy way * Easiest way: (Note: In this way all of your car settings and handling settings will now be semi different and like how I have mine.) (I recommend this way for someone who 1. hasn't made many handling corrections, 2. New to mods.) (If you wish to keep all your custom handling settings, do the other way of installing.) 1. Go to your GTAIV main directory usually here (C:Program FilesRockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IVcommondatahandling) Always make a back up copy of the file you are going to replace. 2. Just drag and drop my Handling file into your data folder and replace. This will replace all of your vehicles handling as well as damage specifications. * Pretty Easy way: (This way will not change your custom handling settings, but will only change the Weapon damage on vehicles) 1. Save a backup copy of your handling file. (C:Program FilesRockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IVcommondatahandling) 2. Open the Handling Editor (Not mine, I am only making it easier for you) I have provided for you or Download GTAIV Handling Editor here ---> http://www.gta4-mods.com/tools/gta-iv-handling-editor-f1825 3. Open handling Editor, select Load button at bottom, find handling file (C:Program FilesRockstar GamesGrand Theft Auto IVcommondatahandling), select Open. If you want just specific cars individually but not all to have this Realistic Bullet Damage mod, then continue reading into the next step. If you want ALL cars to have my Realistic Bullet Damage mod then skip to step 5. Now at the top Vehicle ID:, find the car which you want to edit. Then go to the damage tab at the top. Type in 0.08 in the Weapon Multiplier box. 4. Test to see if you like the results. If so and you want to make all cars like this go to step 5. If you dont like it just put in your defult numbers that you had before or put in your backup copied handling file. 5. Now the fastest way to make all cars have this is, go to the Misc tab at the top. 6. Near the bottom right it says Set All. *In the first box select WeaponDamageMulti. *To the right of that box find and select All *third box select Equal *fourth box type in 0.08 *Then hit Apply Now every car should have my Realistic Bullet Damage mod and be much more durable and realistic and allow you to shoot at it for a long time without it blowing up. This makes for a much more realistic gameplay and for a fun chase. 7. Check your other cars by going to the Damage tab. Where it says Weapon Multiplier it should now read 0.08 in all cars. Check other cars by the Vehicle ID: drop down tab at the top of the menu. Enjoy your REALISTIC Terminator rampage!!! Mod discovered and edited by SPITFIRE7. I took the time and research to find the best and most realistic settings for this modification the hard way. Handling Editor has made this much easier for us all. I did not make GTAIV Handling Editor and take no responsibility for any damage to your game. ALWAYS MAKE BACKUP COPIES. Enjoy.
