There isnt private police contracters in the US, as far as I know. The police in the US is good enough to not require assistance. I dont think a private police service is even legal, dont quote me on it though. Although in the middle east, with all the war, there is private contractors.They deliver medical supplies, and help fight off terrorists. Not that its relevant, but private contractors also make really good money. Edit: Also, in the US - Yes we need police. Since you are in the UK, it's different i'd assume. As you said there is private contractors. I believe this thread pertains mostly to the USA though.

This is more than enough info to start a discussion. Anyway, this probably happens alot. Just like hookers on craigslist, he probably listed it as "Drugs for Sale" or something. Where as a smart person would list something as "Local Dealer", something that technically doesn't indicate something drug related.

What some of you dont know is this cop was recently charged (Pentalized, punished, whatever) for false use of his weapon. He hesitated a bit, though right when the guy pulled the rifle out, he could of shot. You also have to realize, this happened in 1999. Now a days, the whole thing would probably change.

There will always be those cop haters, whether they are mad they got pulled over, or some other reason. We cant fail to realize that without cops, things would go crazy. Obviously we need police, who ever started that argument is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

You could probably make a gun or something, maybe replace the UZI with a flashlight model, and change it so bullets dont fire, but when you left click a light beam comes out.

It really doesnt seem it. I live in a small town and my local pd responds to domestic disputes all the time, even yesterday I saw an explorer and a cvpi at what looked to be a domestic dispute, some crazy lady was screaming, crying and shit. That seems to be what happens in most scenes of COPS. Also, not that this is very relevant but my house is on a hill, There was cruisers lined up from the bottom to the top of the hill, there was like a robbery or something - There was K9's, and cops with AR'. Obviously they arent gonna watch an officer file reports, because they dont record that. It goes scene to scene. I do realize that cops dont get calls every 5 minutes though.

You should look at when the footage is recorded, corresponding to when the episodes get released.
