amenbrother reacted to ApparentlyRohan for a file, MTFO: Move The F*** OverMTFO
Enhance traffic control and AI behavior when you are responding to a call with your lights and siren active. MTFO aims to create a more realistic and immersive experience by making the AI drivers react in a more intelligent and 'human-like' way to your sirens, rather than swerving all over the place.
Disclaimer:
GTA AI is extremely temperamental, and you may encounter some edge cases and odd AI behavior; these issues will be addressed in later updates. Please report any problems 😁
The best place to get support or suggest changes would be on Discord.
Features:
Extensive customization of AI actions via the MTFO.ini file. Configuration is reloaded when going on/off duty.
Opticom Intersection Control: As you approach intersections with traffic lights, this feature will automatically turn the light green in your direction. This can be disabled via the EnableOpticom setting in the configuration file.
Intelligent Yielding: On highways, vehicles traveling in the same direction as you will switch lanes if they are blocking your path, if no lane is available they will attempt to come to a smooth stop on the wide of the road. They will attempt to find a safe space to pull over if you are in the furthermost right lane.
Oncoming Traffic Braking: Vehicles in the oncoming lane will slow down or come to a stop as you pass them on highways, rather than aggressively swerving. This is controlled by the EnableOncomingBraking setting.
Dynamic Intersection Clearing: When you are approaching a major intersection (with traffic lights or stop signs), cross-traffic will be instructed to stop, clearing the way for you without having to navigate around other vehicles. Toggled via EnableIntersectionControl.
Around Player Overtaking: When you are stopped, vehicles behind you will attempt to safely overtake your vehicle rather than getting stuck behind you. This is particularly useful during traffic stops or when you are stationary on a roadway for any reason. This is managed by the EnableAroundPlayerLogic setting.
With the update to v4, the custom yielding now primarily functions on freeways/highways to make yielding more realistic in these scenarios. Please do not use your old ini; replace it with the new one; it will not function properly with v4, as I have rewritten the majority of the codebase.

amenbrother reacted to viisible for a file, The San Andreas State Police Mini-Pack (Pennsylvania)Ah, the San Andreas State Police - better known as the apex predator of the interstate. The lowest tax income in decades combined with the most boring shifts known to man almost ensures that you'll be pulled over soon enough, so watch your speed. Even without the iconc livery, you'll spot one of their cruisers from miles away - with the foggy, decade old lightbar (that's still being outfitted to new cruisers) being the dead giveaway.
This livery pack contains 3 liveries for the Vapid Scout, 2 liveries for the Vapid Torrence, and 1 livery for the Vapid Stanier, and was created with these packs in mind:

I am back again! This is my third livery pack on LSPDFR, and again the culmination of about a month of on and off work. I have finally reached a place where I am satisfied with the pack, so I hope you enjoy! Just a notice for some, I am not a professional, nor well equipped designer. I work entirely using GIMP and with decals and logos I can find online, so don't get your expectations too high.
A bit about the pack, first of all. This pack is heavily based on Virginia law enforcement agencies, particularly based on the Richmond Police Department, Henrico County Sheriff's Office, and Virginia State Police. Additionally, it uses vanilla mapped vehicles by some wonderful mod authors. With this being said, they are non-ELS, and any lighting changes do require some carcols.ymt and carvariations.ymt changes. I highly, highly recommend using the LiveLights mod by PNWParksFan to help you make any lighting changes.
So, what can you expect with this pack?
This pack includes 19 liveries from the LSPD, BCSO, SAHP, and BCFD, including:
Three Los Santos Police Department Vehicle Textures
Five Blaine County Sheriff's Office Vehicle Textures
Five San Andreas Highway Patrol Vehicle Textures
Four Blaine County Fire Department Vehicle Textures
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I install these textures? A: I have included both written and visual instructions to show how to install them. Beyond that, I would recommend looking up some YouTube tutorials for more general instructions.
Q: I want the lights like in your screenshots. How do I get them? A: The lighting textures are included in the "Misc. Textures" folder. However, this requires some data file editing. See above, or the readme, for more information.
Q: Will you be updating this pack? A: Maybe. I do not plan on adding any new vehicles as of now, but I may be amenable to providing special text edits (K-9, SWAT, etc.) for certain vehicles.
Q: Will you make a texture for [INSERT VEHICLE HERE]? A: Probably not, but I might if you ask nicely -

What started as a personal project for my own pleasure quickly snowballed into my largest, most ambitious, and first public release for GTA V - Project Virginia. I will start by saying that I am a complete amateur texture developer and this project was developed with extremely limited resources (basically just GIMP). If you are expecting professional quality liveries, you may be disappointed. However, this process has helped me develop better techniques and skills, and I believe that this pack represents my best texture work yet.
This pack was developed with the purpose of filling gaps left open by other popular packs. Many livery packs out there have tons of regular patrol vehicles, which is awesome. However, for someone like me that enjoys having a uniform experience, the lack of SWAT vehicles, helicopters, marine units, and prisoner transport vehicles really started to bother me. So, while this pack may lack a variety of patrol vehicles, it does bring a uniform theme to special vehicles that aren't often considered.
First off, why "Project Virginia"?
As a proud Virginia native, I wanted to create a lore-friendly pack that stuck to my roots. In this effort, I based every vehicle off of those used by my local Sheriff's Office and those used by the neighboring city. They are not 100% accurate, and I have taken some short-cuts and liberties, particularly with some of the special purpose vehicles. However, every texture is as faithful as it can be, while still providing some visual interest and staying true to the theme of the pack.
So, what can you expect with this pack?
This pack includes a WHOPPING FIFTEEN (lol) individual textures, including:
NINE Blaine County Sheriff's Office Vehicle Textures
TWO BONUS Los Santos Police Department Vehicle Textures
TWO BONUS Blaine County Fire and Rescue Vehicle Textures
TWO BONUS San Andreas State Police Vehicle Textures
Recommended Vehicle Models
The creation of this pack would not have been possible without the use of some incredible vehicle mods and packs. These are:
Other Credits
This pack was made with the use of several freely available logos and decals, most of which are available online. However, a few elements were made here on the LSPDFR website, so a very special thanks to: BritishIndieKid for their BCSO, LSPD, and SASP logos from Indie's Assorted Logos: Part Two SkyDaFur Development for their BCFD/BCFR logo from LSFD & BCFD Logo Pack
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I install these textures? A: I have included both written and visual instructions to show how to install them. Beyond that, I would recommend looking up some YouTube tutorials for more general instructions.
Q: I want the lights like in your screenshots. How do I get them? A: The lighting textures and configs are, unfortunately, specific to the vehicles I personally use. You can find these in the above spoilers, or in the README under "Recommended Vehicle Models". For these, I have included the light textures and ELS configs in the Bonus Bundles folder. Instructions for installation can also be found in the README.
Q: Why did you make LSPD and BCFR textures? A: I wanted to use them for my game, and I figured I might as well just spread the love.
Q: Will you be updating this pack? A: Yes. I plan to add three to four more BCSO, LSPD, and BCFR textures in the future. I kinda wanna play my game though for a bit lol
Q: Will you make a texture for [INSERT VEHICLE HERE]? A: Maybe. If I find your request interesting or a fairly simple task, it is possible.

Hello again! This pack marks my second and now largest livery pack on LSPDFR. This project is, again, the culmination of about a month of on and off work, so I'm glad to finally be delivering my final product! If you've been following my Project Realism - Redux gallery album, the day has finally arrived. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement over the last few weeks. I think this project shows the best of my work so far, and I've developed new skills and techniques while working on the pack, so I really hope you enjoy. Just a notice for some, I am not a professional, nor well equipped designer. I work entirely using GIMP and with decals and logos I can find online, so don't get your expectations too high.
Just a little bit about the pack, first. This idea came to me when I got kind of lost while making liveries for my Project Virginia pack. I wanted to do something kind of generic, but still sort of based on reality. This pack, generally speaking, is loosely based on some Virginia emergency services, but they're mainly fictional. I hope that you enthusiasts of somewhat generic, but still interesting vehicle designs, like myself, will enjoy using this as much as I have making it.
So, what can you expect with this pack?
This pack includes 19 main liveries from the LSPD, BCSO, and BCFR, as well as 9 additional bonus liveries, including:
Four Los Santos Police Department Vehicle Textures
Twelve Blaine County Sheriff's Office Vehicle Textures
Three Blaine County Fire and Rescue Vehicle Textures
Misc. Bonus Vehicle Textures
These textures were disincluded from the main pack because I didn't like them as much as the others. For that reason, I do not have specific model authors, so trial and error may be required. Use at your own risk.
Vehicle Mods Used
These are the mods I use personally for my pack. They are in no particular order, so you will have to sort through them and see where what belongs. Check the credits!

Very special thanks to @Parzival.Zio for some nice snippets of gameplay that they put together!

RELEASE NOTES
-------------------------
Texture Mini-pack: "Miami-Dade Fire Texture Mega-Pack"
Version: 1.0
Thanks for downloading!
Notes:
Very much a constant WIP. One of the largest Fire agencies in the United States, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue serves a massive area with a very unique fleet. Still lots of apparatus to add, so consider this a "taste," or "sample." I'll finish up some of the main stuff, Battalion Chiefs, Engines, etc, and add them at random times. Once a large enough addition is done, I'll make a proper V2.
These Skins are inspired by their real world counterparts, so technically these are "Lore-Friendly". I will be not making different variations of this model to meet other desires. These are created after real vehicles, and will stay as such.
DISCLAIMER:
- Do not upload this file to any other site and/or claim it as your own.
- Do not rip or otherwise modify this texture for unauthorized use.
- Do not try to make money off of this free, public texture pack.
- Please ask permission before using these textures for clans or similar groups.
- ALWAYS keep a backup of changes you make in the event that something goes wrong.
