Uff, last time I posted a relatively "polemic" opinion in this forum I was bashed to death. I will refrain myself to post my thoughts this time. Nah, screw it, I will say it: you reap what you sow. This is probably the game that most indifferent is leaving me. I can't see anything special on it. This simply looks like a DLC for BF4. I can't see innovation at all; they've just replaced humvees for cop cars and added few new features. Traffic Control System works the best for me. Spawns a fairly good vehicle variety and takes the least resources.

So I'm having problems again as EFLC won't run when dsound.dll is installed. As soon as this file is put in the EFLC main directory, the game won't start at all. I've tried launching as admin and nothing happens. I can't run script mods, special mention to SNT. Some help would be appreciated.

Well, we ain't talking about LCPDFR but about EFLC. I don't know what's the big deal with using cracks when I'm use a legal copy I purchased. It only makes things simpler as there's no need to be using the CD everytime you go ingame to test anything. Besides, the main reason why I began using crack was because my pc used to crash with a blue screen when the CD was inside. It's just helpful as a mod could be. I'm not using a pirated copy so I'm not sure what you'd be trying to accomplish with locking the thread. ANYWAY, I've tried to make the game work either by installing a crack and by leaving it as the DEFAULT installation leaves it, in both cases just updating it to the latest patch as explained in the first post. I've already reinstalled the game a bunch of times, as well as the c++, and still doesn't work. EDIT: Solved.

What do you mean with "cracks aren't suported", because I've used them before using a legal copy of the game and they worked fine. And yes, I run it as administrator.

Recently I reinstalled Windows 7 (64bits) and now I'm having some problems to launch EFLC. I install the game and update it to the 1.1.2.0 patch. I launch the game and an the first error comes up "Windows XP: Service Pack 3 or superior is needed". So I change the compablity to SP3 and then, the next error comes up: "SecuLauncher: failed to start application. [2001] -> 0x00000002". I'm using the original copy, with CD disk. I've also tried previously using a crack, as I hate using CD everytime I need to launch the game. In fact, before reinstalling Windows, I used to run the legal copy of EFLC with the same crack I've used and worked fine. However, this time, when I execute as administrator the LaunchEFLC file it simply does nothing or gives me the "failed to start application 2000" error. Both times, either using the CD or crack, I have already tried uninstalling the c++ redistributable and reinstalling the one that comes in the installation disk but the failed to start application error persists. Any idea what the hell is going on?

Yay, we have the budget and resources to make an original police/SWAT game but why bother, let's just do another casual and generic FPS... Oh, and let's not forget about a good amount of DLCs which should have been included in the game, because costumers love to pay for half assed games.
