the folder check box will always be like that in windows. deselect it and hit apply , you should see it running through the files and changing them to not be read only. After that you can look at some of the files and they should be how you want them now. Windows logic.. a folder is not a file and only files can be set to not read only.

Windows folders are setup to always show the read only box checked if you look at it after you change it. It is just that way. If you click it off and hit apply, it will change all your files to not read only. look at some of the files in the folder and the properties should have changed.

Wash cars, offer to help people do odd jobs over the summer, ask all your family and friends if they need help with anything. Tell them you need to earn some cash. They probably have lots of chores they don't really want to do. Wont be fun but its cash. Teach seniors how to use computers or how to get rid of viruses and speed up their computer. Most people are afraid to run an adware/malware removal software, setup a free antivirus program and defrag hard drive easy $25 bucks. Break down what you need. $1500 in 4 months means you only need to make about $100 a week. 10 $10 dollar jobs a week.

Could you do a burglary in progress and have a suspect outside the building? We would have to do an area check and hopefully spot him.

I have the same video card and a slightly weaker cpu with windows 7. With everything low and medium textures i get 18 fps average. at 1020 by 764. Thats playable but laggy . I just switched today to 800 by 600 , everything low except high textures and while the view isn't as clear the fps jumps to 30's and the lag is barely noticable driving. Less crashes too. One more thing you could try is control panel, system , advanced system settings, performance, set it to adjust for max performance.

It seems to get anything between you and the blip like a real radar. I put it in the far lane and get both.

I thought this one was broken too. Couldn't find the thief many times but yesterday i searched the zone and finally passed him and a marker popped up on a vehicle. Text said "He spotted you" and I started pursuit and caught him. It works well, sometimes you just miss finding him and he gets away. Just like real life. Great mod, I like it.

I think you have to press alt-E to clear your last call to get rid of the telephone and receive new call outs.

I know the feeling, sometimes all it takes is another manual install try. The taser files took about 5 tries and it works great now.

Windows always does that on folders it will stay read only. The files should have changed off of read only though. Look in the folder at one of the files "properties" to check.

That spotlight mod adds a ton of realism.

I had the same problem. If you delete the advancedhookinit.asi file from the gta directory, your game should load and you can load lcpdfr 1.0 I can play it for a couple of hours without a crash most of the time. You wont get the taser to work without that file but the rest seems ok. Its the only way I could get past that immediate crash.
