  21. This would be great if it didn't auto-call backup whenever you fire. Calling backup is an immersive part of the game, even if that's just a panic button press, and it isn't fun that this mod takes that away from the player.

  24. How'd ya fix it
@ModHD I live in Galveston too! @Matt Grimes Awesome pack, looks great and can't wait to try it out in game. Definitely accurate to what GCSO looks like!
  25. Does this utilize ELS as well? EDIT: Disregard it was made for the ELS pack lol
  26. Yessir, just putting this suggestion out there to see the response and status, and to get a gauge for the likelihood it will get implemented

  28. Hello. I love LSPDFR; it is the main reason that I bought GTA V. However, there are a few things I would love to see in this mod, perhaps even optionally if you thought they would be controversial. I would love to see less predictable AI. I know that there are already chance attributes on things such as spawning a pursuit when pulling someone over to add a bit of variety, but it still seems as though replay-ability is declining. I think that it would be amazing to have a small chance, maybe 1% or 2%, of being shot at/attacked/knifed when approaching a vehicle or during/after pursuits. A chance of being shot at, attacked, knifed, or spawning a (foot) pursuit when doing a takedown or putting cuffs on a detained pedestrian would do wonders for the gameplay and immersion as well. This chance could be something potentially modifiable in an .ini or configuration GUI if that were a possibility, but if not, it would still be awesome to have some variety because it frankly can get quite boring and tedious to hold point a gun at someone and hold E and have that work 100% of the time. The feature of having more variety and less predictable AI was very prevalent in LCPDFR on GTA IV, and was, in my opinion, the best feature. I would absolutely love to see this get carried over to LSPDFR soon as well. EDIT: Another suggestion, also present in LCPDFR and not LSPDFR, was the ability to toggle lethal force in pursuits. This could potentially stop AI helicopters from firing at suspects unlawfully, and allow officers to shoot at suspects who are driving extremely recklessly in order to bring the pursuit to a stop. EDIT2: A configurable hardcore mode was also one I used in LCPDFR which was lost on GTA V. This would be an awesome addition on the realism front.
  29. Personally I have to dissent; I wouldn't find it wrong to post it because if the original author has gone inactive I see no reason that they would be opposed to having their modifications further help the community, with full credit to them. Additionally, if they return and decide that they don't want their modified textures posted, you can remove the download. Lastly, they posted their design for others to use. If they did not want their design to be used, they likely would not have posted it as a public download. I would only see them being opposed to it if you didn't credit them, but you plan on crediting them regardless. I know I may not be the majority opinion, but I think those points are worth consideration regardless.
Truly a very fun modification of and supplement to LSPDFR. I cannot imagine playing LSPDFR without the additional control and realism added by this download. This download also tends to work very reliably when installed correctly. This is definitely a mod that I would recommend, with only few things I would change. (You can read these things in the comments if interested >>)
  30. Hello Albo1125. I love the mod, it's a great build on the base LSPDFR system. However, there are a few things I would love to see in this mod, perhaps even optionally if you thought they would be controversial. First and foremost, I would love to see less predictable AI. I know that there are already chances on things such as spawning a pursuit when pulling someone over to add a bit of variety, but it still seems as though replay-ability is declining. I think that it would be amazing to have a small chance, maybe 1% or 2%, of being shot at/attacked when approaching a vehicle or during/after pursuits. A chance of being shot at, attacked, knifed, or spawning a pursuit when doing a takedown or putting cuffs on a detained pedestrian would do wonders for the gameplay and immersion as well. This chance could be something potentially modifiable in the .ini if that were a possibility, but if not, it would still be awesome to have some variety because it frankly can get quite boring and tedious to hold point a gun at someone and hold E and have that work 100% of the time. The feature of having more variety and less predictable AI was very prevalent in LCPDFR on GTA IV, and was, in my opinion, the best feature. I would absolutely love to see this get carried over to LSPDFR as well. Another feature that was on LCPDFR that would be good to see here was the ability to toggle lethal force in the built-in pursuit manager. This would be a very nice addition to your pursuit manager if it was feasible. This would be useful to not only potentially prevent AI helicopters from shooting without authorization but more importantly to stop suspects that are simply too much of a danger to be chased. Lastly, it would be nice to have a shorter ticket-writing animation or one that you could exit out of as well as the ability to change view and equip/aim your firearm while in the vicinity of a stopped vehicle. This is because on too many occasions I have been forced to watch someone shoot AI cops or civilians, or even steal my car without me being able to stop them due to being on a traffic stop or writing a ticket. This isn't as important as other suggestions, but it is something to think about. Overall, I greatly respect you as a modder on this sight and thus have almost all of your modifications. Similarly, I think that LSPDFR+ is a very good supplement to LSPDFR. However, I do think that these additions would go a very long way in increasing the playability of this modification for GTA and in pushing this LSPDFR supplement much nearer to perfection.
  31. When I volunteered to help role play for the in-house academy cadets at my police department, they used real guns because of the feel of a real weapon. However, they all had to stand and have their weapons inspected including checking the magazines and chambers for ammunition.
  32. It worked! I reinstalled GTA and lcpdfr. Thanks a ton!
  33. Okay, I'll completely re-install my game. Talk to you in a couple days. =P
  34. Okay, I'll reinstall it a fourth time. I'd like to say however that this problem didn't happen until after I installed the hotfix the first time.
