  1. The name database came from a list of a few thousand names from the old Fort Carson Role Play server. It's impossible to look through them all, and this was by no means intentional in any way. This is definitely not something we would have tried to do intentionally.
  2. Sorry guys, forgot about this thread. IPS has not issued a patch for this. Also thanks for tagging me, wouldn't have otherwise seen this.
  3. In case you don't follow us on Facebook or Twitter, you can get 15% off all t-shirts now until September 1st.
  4. Not sure on that, you'll have to experiment to find out.
  5. In your Grand Theft Auto V folder there will be a file called startup.rphs. You can edit this with a normal text editor and you can insert one command on each line (for instance, commands to load plugins). An example: LoadPlugin "LSPD First Response.dll" LoadPlugin "Fancy Plugin.dll" LoadPlugin "Some Other Plugin.dll"
  6. Amazing. That's really the first word that comes to mind when reflecting upon the release of LSPDFR in June. In a month and a half it has been downloaded over 336,000 times, and the feedback has really been incredible. Our site activity has been noticeably impacted by this, and we are now reaching roughly 160 new registrations per day. The increased site activity has really taken a toll on moderation, and we have had to respond to this by reaching out and recruiting more members for a spot on our Community Team. I would thus like to introduce @Ben, @CouthInk4, and @TheUniT. I am sure these names will sound familiar to many of you, as these are all long time members of our site whose frequent contributions have not gone unnoticed. They have now joined the Community Team as Moderators in Training, and will work alongside myself and the entire Community Team to complete their training. In our traditional fashion, they will advance to Junior Moderators in the coming days and full moderators in the coming weeks. I would also like to announce that @Lt.Caine, one who likely needs no introduction, has joined the Community Team as an Advisor. Caine was absolutely instrumental during the beginning stages of the GTA IV police modding community, and we look forward to working with him closely to ensure that our community here at LCPDFR.com continues to grow in a healthy fashion. I hope that everyone will join me in welcoming our new Community Team members, and I would again like to congratulate everyone above on their new positions. The future is brighter than it has been in a very long time, and the coming weeks and months will all be very exciting. I would also like to personally thank everyone who has donated to our site or purchased merchandise from our store. The donations have been staggering, with some people donating hundreds of dollars to our site. The store has also been quite popular, with over two dozen orders placed and commissions exceeding $55. We are grateful beyond words to everyone who has donated to our site, either by using PayPal or buying products from the store. These donations will be used to pay for our servers, domains, the IPS community suite, and of course development for LSPDFR, among other things. I would like to also thank our fans across the globe, who have stuck by us despite countless hurdles being flung our way that have repeatedly disrupted LSPDFR development. As I recently mentioned in one of my last tweets, the sheer diversity and global spread of our fanbase is incredible, and we really could not do anything like what we're doing now without all of you. Thank you.
  7. No, FCRP ended a couple years ago I think. We may work on a newer version at some point but not anytime soon at least.
  8. Awesome! Liking it so far I hope?
  9. We'll try to get some new products designed for this weekend if you've been looking for a sale before buying. From Thursday, 9 July, to Tuesday, 14 July, save 5 €/£/$ off an order of 30 €/£/$.
  10. @lcpdUnit22 Okay, hold tight. Looks like another bug with IPS (our forum suite).
  11. It looks like the issue is here:"Unable to retrieve signature image dimensions for %s, please try another image." If you save the image from Speedtest on your computer and then re-upload it, will it work?
  12. @lcpdUnit22 The image should be more than acceptable. It looks like your signature has been updated already, is that true?
  13. Due to a group configuration issue, roughly 25% of members had unlimited signature restrictions - significantly clogging up many threads. This has since been resolved, and now applies to all members as it was originally intended. These are the current signature guidelines: Max of 1 image, up to 500x150pxMax of 5 text lines (a full line break counts as two lines, use Shift+Enter for a normal "1-line" break)Max of 5 URL links
  14. @Officer Dilin Dafonte @Kirigaya @Glock19GSP @0taku - Unfortunately our store provider doesn't offer posters, pens, or stickers They do offer mousepads and drink coasters, would those be of any demand?
  15. Thanks for the kind words everyone. I've spent quite a few birthdays on the site, and I hope to spend many more here as well.
  16. Awesome, glad you found one you like! We've also introduced two different mugs, as pictured below. These can be found at the top of the site, and in the "Mugs" category. Like the shirts, the colours can be changed on these.
  17. Indeed! We have some mugs coming up, with various LSPD styled text on them. This is a draft of what we've done, but they're subject to change: We wanted to keep the "stay away from my coffee!" idea in mind, while keeping it police related. If anyone has feedback on these drafts, do let me know.
  18. I think we may have our next design idea.
  19. When working out the commission prices, I tried to find a total price that I would personally pay for a shirt and adjusted the commission accordingly. My goal was to keep the prices as low as possible, so I'm glad to hear that a good balance was struck.
  20. Donations After the release of LSPDFR (and even before it), we have been getting a lot of questions about donations, and how users can donate to the site. For anyone who wishes to donate to our site, you may do so on this page. We will never beg for donations, but we also want to ensure that anyone who wants to contribute to this site may do so. Anything you donate will go straight toward helping this site - either by contributing to our hosting payments, our forum suite license fees, or any miscellaneous fees associated with site or LSPDFR development. On behalf of everyone at G17 Media, I would like to thank all of those who have contributed in the past, and all those who contribute in the future. G17 Media Shirt Store We have also been asked many, many times over the past few years if we'd ever consider selling LCPDFR/LSPDFR t-shirts, and we never had a clear answer to provide. Now, however, I am happy to announce that we have created a store with a variety of LCPDFR and LSPDFR themed shirts. With much appreciated help from @MichaelV, we have several high quality designs to choose from. A small portion of each shirt's price is paid to us as a commission (roughly 15%), so this is a bit of a win-win - you can get a shirt you enjoy wearing, while also donating to the site at the same time. The main point behind the store is to offer our fans products they'll enjoy - we aren't using it to make lots of money. We encourage everyone to take advantage of our provider's generous return policy if there is ever an issue with your purchase. Please also use this thread to let us know what you do and don't like (shop layout, products, prices, or anything else). Our store provider offers very nice international shipping rates as well, so this store is not restricted to just our members in the US! You can also filter by category (LCPDFR, LSPDFR, and Mugs), along with shirts for men or women. Our shirt store can be found here.
  21. I'd say this is a good testament to the stability of GTA V - can you imagine if this happened in IV?
  22. I'm going to go ahead and close this up, it's turned into an online modding debate at this point. Our views and plans for Online can be seen in ineseri's and Break's posts. If you feel this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.
  23. There are no plans to make a standalone game, and probably never will be.
  24. We are removing the 5 images per 30 minute rule from our gallery. We initially implemented that policy to prevent the Gallery strip from being cluttered by one person, as the old site's Gallery strip only pulled images from GTA IV. Now that we have the new Gallery strip, content from every gallery getting pulled in, and a flood of LSPDFR images from many authors, that rule is no longer required. We have found that the new Gallery strip is sufficiently saturated by multiple authors to the point where clutter is not an issue. The old rule was a pain for staff to enforce and a pain for members as well, and I'm fairly confident that the rule will be missed by no one. If you previously uploaded images that were removed due to this policy, you may re-upload those. Please note that we still reserve the right to remove any image if it has been uploaded multiple times, or if images are uploaded together that are so similar they are indiscernible (images of these types are considered spam). If you were previously warned for repeat violations of the 5 images rule, we will not be able to delete those warnings - you still broke our guidelines at the time.
