It's possible witnesses are describing law enforcement when discussing a fully armored suspect. Hard to say for sure right now.

One witness (note: only one, not necessarily credible) stated the suspect is armored, head to toe, with a large assault rifle. "'He was fully armored head to toe, like he planned this. Like it's not like a random thing,' said a male shopper who did not want to give his name." "Witnesses told NBC 4 New York a man dressed in all black, including a black helmet, was carrying a rifle and started firing shots inside the mall." @CNNbrk "The gunman who opened fire inside a New Jersey mall has not yet been found by a SWAT sweep." Still no reported casualties.

Mostly reports coming in on Twitter from those there, as well as "Reports of at least one gunman firing shots at security cameras in Paramus, New Jersey mall" from @CNNBrk. Updating all the time, will keep checking for more confirmation. Edit: Mall closed at 9:30 PM local time, most people should be out of the mall by now anyways. Still no reports of casualties.

Reports say (s)he was shooting only at security cameras rather than civilians.

Since the incident is over I am removing the LIVE tag. The suspect apparently questioned civilians and anyone who said they weren't part of the TSA were spared. He only wanted to go after the TSA. Edit: Also, thanks for staying (mostly) on topic and avoiding debates.

I know at one point the TSA was also the most despised organization. Although I think the NSA has taken the crown with recent events.

Shots have been fired at Terminal 3 at LAX, with TSA agents being taken away with injuries. A high-powered rifle is supposedly the weapon that was used. The gunman has supposedly been shot, but it hasn't been confirmed at the time of writing.
