I dunno about you but here most of IT and multimedia related companies still use XP and have no problems with it whatsoever. They set up their PCs for employees with XP and would not upgrade to either 7 or 8 because it would take a lot of time and money to do that with no or negligible effects on employees' work output. More trouble than its worth. Same goes for Linux. They use Linux in my dad's office. I think it was when W7 was released, I last went to his office with him and I saw his work PC was equipped with a 'better than vista' looking Linux version (don't ask me what was the name I'm a complete moron when it comes to linux; its meant for professionals). I don't think they'll be upgrading to 8 or even 9, for that matter. As for myself, I've already said- the thumb rule for all my softwares is: If it ain't broken, don't fix it. I learnt this lesson with my first graphic card. Driver issues, y'know.

I can't be assed to pay $70 for a 'newer' windows when my 7 is running smooth as hell. Why would anyone buy a new product when the previous one hasn't expired/broken already?

That petition is pointless. They gotta do what they gotta do. Since they aren't a group of people elected by the public, they can't be assed to listen and act on people's complaints. They take notice of feedbacks, not complaints.

That means your materials aren't setup the right way. They need to be in this order: Your basic texture (UV#1 Mod) Your dirt texture (UV#2 M/A) Your nrm texture (UV#1 DontProduct3) Your spec texture (UV#1 Spec M/A) Uncheck the nrm afterwards. All of the materials must be setup like that.

Without a doubt. Setup the materials first.

Add the textures given and merge the file. Or else you'll have to do it the harder way- Set up the materials all over again and export the product as .wft.

This. Exactly...this. But unr3al, its also a truth that MS and all other giants releasing similar stuff are just exaggerating on their newer products and actually have little improvements over the previous installments. Their aim is to make money (whose ain't?), and inventing a new Windows would definitely earn some more $$ than releasing constant hotfixes for 7.

Let the V come out. And more importantly, let the coders even understand how V will be cracked to make it moddable, in the first place. LCPD:FR for V will be considered after that. Its a long, really long way to go. Plus you guys are already seeing how much time it takes to release a proper version for IV. Devs barely get the time for their personal life. There's no guarantee that G17 Media will be cramming LCPD:FR in V as well. So all of the guys who're expecting this, I'm sorry but the truth is- it took almost 5-6 years to get LCPD:FR where it is now today; I say stop holding your breaths. Its a long way to V's release on PC, and even longer to get LCPD:FR's similar counterpart to be introduced into it. Don't expect too much, V's capabilities/modus operandi are even unknown at this point.

Yes, I press Esc usually and then press Alt+Tab. Rarely ever I need to Alt+Tab straight out of the game.

There are no vDH error logs present. I deleted all other script mods and its working fine now, except for the fact that if I Alt+Tab out of the game, and maximize it again, it simply shuts the game down. Not sure if Policehelper is the one doing it.
