Buffalo, NY Police Department B-District skin. Should be compatible with BXBugs123's Ford Crown Victoria models. To install it: open SPARK IV and go to models\cdimages\vehicles.img and replace the police skin of your choice with this one. -
Proper Etiquette Question
So I would need permission first if I were to use one of them unlocked vehicles and parts?

Proper Etiquette Question
Seeing I'm still kinda new to the GTA community, what is the proper etiquette when posting a new skin or modified model? I come from a sim racing community so I am used to giving credit for templates, decals, and such. Obviously I know to give credit if I ever uploaded a modified model, but what about custom skins? Do I credit the model maker/s? Just thought I'd ask since I am working on a new skin to represent the Buffalo, NY Police Department. I plan on uploading it here when I'm dont and I wanted to double check some things so I don't get blasted for accidentally leaving out someone's name, lol. And here's the WIP of the car, If I understood merging parts and having things ELS enabled better, I'd work on a custom version, but alas my lack of knowledge fails me, lol. I must say though, this is a lot more fun than painting stock cars all the time. And the model options are crazy. Love that!

I loaded up the default cars just see what you guys meant and them vehicles don't have computers in them. That's why you can't access the thing, it doesn't exist for those cars and bike. If any of you have experience modding cars, I'd suggest loading up police1 or 2 and borrow the computer from there and see if it works. I don't know what I'm doing in ZModeler so I'm unable to help any further. You could just download any other police vehicle with a computer and replace the vehicle. That should work as it did for me.

ZModeler Material Help Needed
I could really use some help learning how to make proper GTA IV materials for vehicles in ZModeler. Currently I'm getting the error From what I've read, I believe it means I have invalid materials. But my inexperience with Zmodeler leaves me confused as how I can fix them. Now the following quote is from KevinDV from another topic, Now this is where I'm just completely lost. I do not understand that UV1 Modulate, UV1 Specular & Multiply Add, and all that stuff. Is it possible for someone to post a screenshot of where those settings are and explain them to me a bit more? I am so lost at the moment. And what is materials like interior2, mesh, tires all about? And lastly, what is the very minimum amount of parts to make a vehicle? Right now I'm just doing testing with a stockcar model I have and I'm wondering if the lack of doors is going to be an issue and if there's a way around it.

I'm not sure what you mean. I got a Charger loaded in the Police3 spot and the laptop seems fine. I can check the LCPD database and run checks on citizens.

What Do You Want To Do With Your Life?
I just want to be me. I've seen friends and people I used to know turn into druggies, kidnappers, dealers, crap like that. I just want to avoid that route and enjoy life wherever it may lead me.

[REQ] Needing a Rambar
Looking good! Here's that Setina you wanted. I did what I can on this one. The zip includes the wireframe (TGA format), the 3ds, and obj for ease. Thanks for keeping me occupied today, I needed that.

[REQ] Needing a Rambar
You're welcome. And since you changed the photo while I was working on the other one, I missed that so I'm working on that one too. That one though is a bit more rough due to lack of high res images. But you'll have that one soon too.

[REQ] Needing a Rambar
Ok, try this one. The 3ds did load in zmodeler for me, just had to zoom way out. Maybe a scaling issue but we'll see.
-
[REQ] Needing a Rambar
Will this work? 3ds attached.
-
[REQ] Needing a Rambar
Ok, I'll see what I can do then. And ZModeler does take OBJ last I checked.

[REQ] Needing a Rambar
If I were to model the rambar in 3ds Max and export it to obj, would you be able to handle the rest?

Problem Replacing police4.wft
The problem was on my end the whole time. I forgot to mention that I normally copy and paste the install to a GTA dedicated partition on my computer. With GTA IV, I can have several different installs each with their own set of mods. With EFLC however, the game loads TBoGT and TLAD specific game files from the original install directory, which for me was in my Steam folder. So while the game would load the modded files from the common vehicles shared between the games, the version specific vehicles loads from the Steam directory. That is what I had to mod to get the files to work. Thank you guys for the help. And I hope my experience can someday help someone else.

Problem Replacing police4.wft
I'm hoping someone can help me here. For some reason I am unable to replace police4.wft in TBoGT. I read everything I found, have the correct textures for the vehicle, it's installed in the correct directory, but the default car still displays in-game. I already tried starting a new game, attempted to replace again using Spark instead of OpenIV, nothing wants to work. I know I have to be missing something, but there is not enough documentation in written form that outlines replacing EFLC vehicles and emergency vehicles specifically. I have the Steam version of EFLC if it helps. And I was able to replace police1 and police2 without an issue. If I just rename a car (example: police1 or police2) to police4, would it work? Or is there something I need to do in zmodeler? Or are some files locked from being modded in TBoGT?
