  1. Don't use the freeways? Also isn't Santa Monica pretty safe?
  2. Haha yeah I suppose, maybe have them but keep them limited to the worst areas of South and East LS. Also I'll actually have the chance to do that as I'm going on holiday to California next week, I think I'll give it a miss though ;)
  3. Here is a list of calls that would be amazing to see implemented in future versions of LSPDFR. I have not included things like riots or gang shootouts as personally I find them unrealistic. -Domestic Disturbance-Motor Vehicle Accident-Missing person-Burglary alarm going off-Burglary / break-in / shoplifting in progress-Mugging in progress-Person with a weapon-Assault-Drug deal in progress-Suspicious person / vehicle-Animal attack / causing risk to the public-Bomb threat-Dead body discovered-DUI driver reported-Hostage situation-Shots fired-Suicidal subject-Public intoxication-Wanted person sighted-Car / structure fire-Medical call-Officers in need of assistance Also, area specific calls would be good too, for example a missing person is more likely out in the county, or a bomb threat is more likely in the city. Hope you like my list, I'd love to hear what else people would like to see!
  4. Love this, but I only want to use it if I can use it as the 'hwaycar' so it spawns properly with an SAHP officer in it. Would this be possible? If so how would I go about doing it? Thank you!
  5. After playing the mod for many hours, I am very happy with it, everyone at G17 has done an amazing job, however these are the things I really feel need changing. I understand that these have likely been pointed out already and that it is a very early version, but I would like to put them all together in the hope that they will be fixed sooner rather than later :) Here is the list: -Only one jail in LS when there should be one at each station-Button Conflicts on controller-No ped interaction options-Suspects sometimes escape and therefore de spawn before you even reach them-No ability to call for Fire or EMS-Police vehicles de-spawning very easily-Police officers running away when guns pointed or shots fired-Cops often shoot suspects who have already surrendered-LSPD spawn in Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness-Suspects escaping and running away after being placed in the back of cruiser-Pursuits often go to the dirt track off of El Gordo Drive (near the lighthouse)-Much wider variety of calls needed Thank you, keep up the great work!
  6. Lifeguard are there for medical purposes, not to enforce the law.
Perfect! Love the option to have San Andreas as well as California.
  7. Oh ok, that sucks :( It seems a bit weird to me haha
  8. Awesome mod! Only problems are that the phaser is too quiet, the FedSig Smart Siren on the LSPD cars and sheriff cruiser shouldn't be a rumbler, and also I'd really like the Sheriff SUV to have the Mastercom B wail rather than the default game wail.
  9. Well, I did it by accident anyway and I also blocked GTA and Rockstar Social Club on my Firewall, and it STILL did an update! :'(
  10. Hi, I have had trouble installing any mods for GTA V which require Open IV. When I have tried to install texture and siren mods, the game simply does an update to restore the files to their original state, thus not allowing the mods to work. I have been instructed to move the files I need to change to the 'update' folder as they will not be checked there. However, it would be a lot easier if I simply copied the entire 'x64' folder into the 'update' folder, however I'm not sure if this will cause any problems or not. If there are any other solutions to my problems, please let me know. I have the physical disk version. Thank you in advance.
  11. I have been playing LSPDFR for several hours, and I have to say it is incredible! Great job by everyone who is working on it! However, there are several big issues that I really think need fixing or adding. The most important of these are: -There is only one jail in Los Santos when there should be one at every police station. -When using an Xbox controller, there are several button issues, most notably the backup menu being brought up every time the right stick is pressed (to look behind or down the sight of a gun), also whenever the A button is pressed, the car in front appears as a red blip to be pulled over. -There are not enough traffic stop and ped interactions. -When fleeing in a vehicle, often it says 'The suspect has escaped' before I even reach them. -There are no more normal, mundane calls such as domestic disturbances, MVAs etc. -There is no option to call for Fire or EMS. Keep up the great work, hopefully these things can be fixed soon!
  12. I have played GTA V since its original release, on both the Xbox 360 and One. Now I also have it on PC, and I wish to mod it once it is installed, however I am unsure if it is a good idea to use my existing Rockstar Social Club account, which has all my current progress for Story Mode and Online. Would I risk losing it all if I mod the game (I don't intend to do so maliciously) and would be better off creating a new account, or will it be fine for me to use my current account?
  13. Oh, I thought OpenIV could open them and I didn't realize there is no software for editing models yet. Thank you :)
  14. I know it probably seems like a stupid question, but why are there no vehicle model mods for GTA V yet?
  15. As I replacement for the fire truck, I would like to see a Pierece Arrow XT with the Los Santos County Fire Department Livery. Also, I would like to see either a Ford E-Series or Dodge RAM to replace the ambulance, in all three in-game liveries (LSCoFD, MRSA and LS Hospitals). Finally, I would like to see an LA County style Ford F Series to replace the lifeguard vehicle. I know that these aren't all fire trucks, but I kind of extended it to fire department ;) The non-real life photos are from MisterPsychopath3001 on Deviantart and the others from Flickr. Sorry if the photos are positioned in a strange way, I'm uploading this from iPad.
  16. Once vehicle mods become available, I would like to replace the sheriff SUV with a CHP/SAHP Ford Explorer. Do you think it would be possible to spawn these with a single Highway Patrol officer instead of the 4 SWAT guys?
  17. I think a feature where you can question witnesses and have more in-depth interactions with peds in general would be a welcomed addition.
  18. OK, thanks everyone! There's a lot of conflicting opinions here haha, I guess it's just personal preference really. I'll wait and see if Steam lower the price or have a sale and if they don't within a month or two then I'll buy a hard copy.
  19. Thanks for your opinions guys! However, no one has really answered whether or not Steam Workshop is likely to be the exclusive location of some mods suitable for LSPDFR and therefore would be missed out on if the game was not purchased on Steam. Thoughts anyone?
  20. Hey guys, I am going to buy GTA V when it comes out on PC, but I was wondering if I should buy it from Steam or a much cheaper physical copy. For me, the main benefits of buying it from Steam are: -Access to Steam Workshop -Easier to reinstall I plan to mod it with LSPDFR (hopefully), cop cars, tow truck script etc. and basically get it to how you would play LCPDFR on GTA IV, however I don't know if Steam Workshop would be necessary, as I'm not sure whether all the mods I would want, such as vehicles, would be more likely to be on Steam Workshop or GTA modding websites. Also, when I encountered problems playing LCPDFR on GTA IV, I was told several times that some things wouldn't have happened had I bought it via Steam rather than a physical copy. What are your thoughts on this?
  21. Hahaha, that would make sense I suppose!
  22. At the bottom of the website, it says 'LCPDFR, LSPDFR and SAPDFR are trademarks of G17 Media' so it could be either, although I agree that San Andreas Police Department doesn't make sense.
