Sorry I've taken so long to reply, I've been busy. I uninstalled all vehicles and I was able to play for longer, however I crashed during a pursuit about 2 minutes after I started playing. I installed one ELS vehicle and I crashed during a pursuit again. I tried again and I crashed a few seconds after I started after the camera panned to tell me about ongoing footchases that you can help with. I don't think it's to do with ELS cars however I did have ELS installed when I used all the original vehicles. Any help would be very much appreciated :)

In 1.0, originally I would crash straight away like I do in 1.0a now, but i remember reading a post which said you can remove a file which they added in 1.0 to make the loading screens faster which meant I only crashed when I tried to arrest a ped so I could play for much longer without a crash. Do you know what this file would be as I can't remember

I don't see how it can be a vehicle because they all worked fine in 0.95 and also I often crash before I've even spawned a modded vehicle, and all my car mods are ELS. Also, in 1.0 I crashed every time I tried to arrest a ped but in 1.0a, I can't even get to that stage.

I am using 1.0a, and I used the automatic installer. I am using Braveheart's policing script, traffic flow, ELS, PoliceHelper, Tow Service, ALPR and the Coroner mod. Here is the LCPDFR log and I don't think the AdvancedHook one was there but I've attached one it might be (I'm not sure).LCPDFRErrorLogging.txtAdvancedHook.log

I downloaded LCPDFR 1.0 when it came out and since then every time I run it, it crashes a few seconds after I go on duty, whether I force it or do it the proper way. I know this sounds stupid to you guys but how do I access the log files you need to see what's wrong? Help would be much appreciated. I will put more info about the problem when I can post the logs.

I have another problem :( I am trying to replace the horns.ivaud file in the resident.rpf folder, but when I click on resident.rpf, the 'Edit Mode' option greys out and I can't click on it, meaning I can't replace the file. I'm running OpenIV as admin. Thanks if you can help :)

No, stupidly if orgot to do that. It was an elementary mistake, but it works now. Thanks for pointing that out!

I have recently reinstalled OpenIV after reinstalling Windows, and everything worked fine until it said I have to run it with admin rights, which I could not do from the OpenIV.exe file in WinRar. When I right clicked it, it does not give me the option to run it as admin, so I moved it to desktop, where I could run it as admin. When I did this however, it came up with the error message 'Exception ImageResourceNotFound in module OpenIV.exe at 0052C745. File not found: C:Users*my username*ResourcesGraphicsUIImagesIE9.' After that it gives me another error message which is too long to type out, but at the start it says 'An unexpected memory leak occurred' then it gives a list of all the 'unexpected memory leaks'. I did not encounter this problem with OpenIV before, and also it's worth mentioning that it does the same if I run it not as admin, although if I click the OpenIV.exe file in WinRar it does work, but it still says I have to run it as admin. Help would be great, thanks :)

i managed to fix it myself. I had to install all drivers from the motherboard disk.

Hey guys, it's me again, I have yet another problem :( After my last problem of GTA 4 not reinstalling, I had to reinstall Windows. After this, I had a problem with a driver which took two weeks to fix, and now it's working properly, I tried to install GTA 4 again. The install process worked fine, until I tried to run the game, when I encountered a problem: Fatal Error DD3D30. It came up with that error message, and a blank, black text box with a flashing white cursor, like notepad, except the opposite colors. I looked on a forum, and found others have had the same problems, and I tried everything suggested on there, none of which worked. Help would be greatly appreciated :) Here is what the other forum suggested: http://gtaforums.com/topic/380310-fatal-error-dd3d30/ I just tried to play another game, and this message came up: 'Could not create the Graphics Device. Direct X is not available. [1002]' I think I have drivers missing.

Wait, if my Windows Installer is messed up, how come I can download other things perfectly fine?

Awwww sh*t. I only got this PC a month ago, it's a pretty high-spec, custom built, and it's already gone t*ts up. Damn damn damn damn. Thank you for your help.

I deleted it from the programs list, and looked through my whole computer and deleted everything to do with GTA, put the disk in, and...... still does not work.

I cannot find a 'Rockstar Games Social Club' file. Should I just delete every single thing related to GTA on my PC?

I did both of those, and unfortunately they made no difference. Is there anything else you would suggest? Sorry for the late reply.

Sorry guys. I have yet another problem. I have just uninstalled GTA after everything got messed up when I installed a siren mod, and when I go to reinstall it, it does not work. I put the disk in, it spins, and the 'Welcome to the GTA IV Install process' box pops up. I click on 'Launch social club' and nothing at all happens. The box closes and it goes back to the home screen. I waited 10 minutes and nothing happened, then tried again 5 times, and still nothing. Sorry to keep having problems, but please help if you can, thanks.

Does that mean I will have to reinstall all of the mods I've downloaded as well?
