komo reacted to LMS in Lenny's Mod Loader - Coming SoonIt's been a while since our last major update, and as you might've guessed from the title, there's a good reason for this... It has taken us a lot of work to get to this point but we can finally proudly announce our latest project: Lenny's Mod Loader.
Modding. Reinvented.
Most people on this forums will have had their fair share of issues when it comes to installing mods, be it that you replaced the file in the wrong place, forgot to reinstall mods after an update or just found yourself in a situation without any installation instructions at all. We aim to make this a thing of the past and focus on what modding should be: fun! With Lenny's Mod Loader you can replace files and load new mods with just a few clicks - without ever touching an RPF. Many mods, such as addon vehicles, can even be loaded directly from the website into your running game, allowing you to quickly test our new vehicles in a matter of seconds.
Many mods can be loaded directly into your running game - just one click away!
Release Information
Lenny's Mod Loader will be released later this year as a beta test. We are currently looking at a public release around December, but might release a little earlier if testing goes well. Being a completely new project, we would like to get in as much test coverage as possible to ensure a smooth public release. This is why we will make LML available as early access software for our Community Insiders.
Future Development
We are only at the beginning of our journey and there are still many things that we would like to add to Lenny's Mod Loader. Ultimately we hope to provide you with a fully-fledged user interface to easily manage your mods, all integrated into our website to make sharing and discovering new mods as easy as possible. We hope you will join and support us on our way and are looking forward to your suggestions on how we can make modding more fun for everyone!

komo reacted to FKDZ in LSPDFR 0.4.2 - Coming Soon!Loving that ballistic shield, certainly gonna come in handy for some high risk callouts.
If I had one suggestion: I love the animations you guys add, but to access and play them, is kind of a hassle right? I never get myself to do it. I would suggest a way to individually keybind those animations as an optional thing, so for example shift + 1 is drinking coffee, shift + 2 is showing your badge....etc. This would allow us to quickly trigger those great animations.
Either way thanks for all the hard work, looking forward to the update!

komo reacted to mtloya in How do i change vehicle's for police smart radioYou should be able to edit the Transport Regions.xml & Transport World Districts.xml files in the GTAV\Plugins\LSPDFR\Arrest Manager directory. Just add the vehicle name using the correct/same syntax as what is already there (the brackets and proper keywords). You can literally just copy one line of code that has a vehicle setting already there, then paste it directly below, change the vehicle name with your new vehicle, and save it. Since PoliceRadio integrates itself with the Arrest Manager files, editing ^^ these should do the trick. I just edited mine, but I've yet to try it out in game. The logic is all there, though, haha.
The coroner vehicle can be assigned in the Arrest Manager.ini file, as well as tow trucks.

komo reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.4 - Announcement + First PreviewBeen a while, huh?
You know, when we first started making LSPDFR, the whole process was pretty much one big roller-coaster that didn't have any brakes: there were the obvious highs when we'd finally add in something cool, but the low points were pretty hard as well - the amount of work that went into simply researching how things worked really took its toll as well. And, of course, while this was all going on there just simply wasn't any stopping, we were a couple of (somewhat) real people who essentially lived in Los Santos for just about all of 2015, spending month after month pushing forward and trying to come up with things that everyone here would like to see.
So, of course, the grind and the pace of everything simply just wasn't sustainable and after 0.3, it's no secret that while the numbers and everything for our site are still on the up, month after month, things did slow down quite substantially for the actual mod itself. But, we can tell you, this wasn't all bad news - it's afforded us the opportunity to take a step back and really look at the mod and figure out where we want to go next with it. While our approach before was all about cramming as much new stuff as we could into a couple of months of development, we've now been able to look back at many of the original ideas and concepts that we had for LSPDFR and build on them. Of course, with that being said, there's still a lot of new stuff crammed into 0.4!
With 0.4, we've taken the time to fix a couple of those "how the hell didn't they add this yet" moments :)
Aside from the cool little additions like this, though, the major theme of 0.4 is Character. Ever since seeing the character system for GTA Online, it was always our goal to implement something similar in LSPDFR. There's just something that much more personal and immersive about playing a game with your own character, and the possibilities that it offers are staggering too. And yes, while mods like EUP are fantastic (and awesomely compatible with 0.4!), they still feel somewhat separate or distant. With 0.4, this separation is gone.
No, these shots aren't taken from GTA Online. This is our own, fully-featured, LSPDFR Character Creator.
Of course, we'll talk more about the new Character features in LSPDFR 0.4 later. The Character Creator menu shown above is obviously only one part of what's new in this regard, although hopefully it emphasizes the effort that we've gone to. Thanks to some of the new additions like this, much of 0.4 actually looks and feels like an entirely new mod altogether.
Officer Ronson and his clones obviously couldn't make it to the flashlight party.
Stay tuned! We'll be sharing more about 0.4 soon.
