Policing around the world. (Update coming soon)

Policing Around The World

Welcome to a little thing i decided to start. In this 'series' if you'd like to call it that, i'm gonna upload screenshots of all different kinds of police from around the world and put some information with them aswell.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Starting off with Japan, my favorite country in the world. I adore their culture, way of thinking, their country and the way it looks. Anyway, we're not here for that.

In real life, the Japanese police uses, quite obviously, a lot of Japanese branded vehicles such as Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi. A list of the cars they use can be found on these links:

http://www.atlas-web.com/keisatu/keisatuhome-b.htm

https://carfromjapan.com/article/car-review/top-japanese-police-cars-true-list/

Unfortunately there's not a wide range of Japanese cars available on the internet for LSPDFR. I did manage to find a few (fictional ones) though:

2014 Mazda 3 (i think it's fictional, but i'd like to be proven wrong if you live in Japan, though)

20191229214044_1.jpg

2018 Honda Civic Type R (once again, i think it's fictional, not sure though)

20191230001653_1.thumb.jpg.107421e7eb178c46526f345dd6688b4a.jpg

Nissan Skyline GTR (used in real life, only difference is that in real life it's not a slicktop and it's equiped with a lightbar. I am also aware of the fact that the Japanese police uses all Reds and that they don't use red/blue like in the pictures, unfortunately the car came with blue/red lightning)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can only upload 4MB worth of pictures in one post, but i also used a fictional Karuma police car (yes, the GTA one), a NEXCO (Japanese Highway Services) vehicle and an unmarked Toyota.

I will link everything you need for a Japanese experience at the end of the post.

Lastly, i'd like to say that i'm not making this series an obligation for myself and i'm gonna play with the Japanese (and future) vehicles till i'm sick of them. Could be tomorrow, could be in a month. If i could make any improvements to this series and if you have any suggestions for countries i could showcase, leave a comment and tell me.

Thanks a lot! I wish there were some more Japanese police cars for GTA V, but there aren't sadly and i'm not skilled enough to model any by myself lol.

Policing Around The World

Part #2

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today we're in Canada! We'll be covering the RCMP in this part, i tried to install Ontario Provincial Police vehicles, but unfortunately i couldn't get them to properly work.

Canada uses the same vehicles as America, so i can imagine these cars will look pretty familiar to everyone, but in case people are still interested in which cars they exactly use, here is a picture:

Moving on, i couldn't fully identify the siren the RCMP used, so i went with a Fed Sig. If any Canadians here can confirm whether they use that siren or not, i'd appreciate it 🙂

Now, lets get to the screenshots! I only used the Crown Vic, Tahoe and Ford Explorer. I'm not a huge fan of the Taurus and i couldn't find a charger.

Included in the pack is also an unmarked version of the crown victoria. As always, the links will be at the bottom of the post.

Lastly, (if this actually gets viewed enough and there's interest), leave in the comments which country OR American state you'd like to see! Thanks for reading.

He name is Nira manjyu.

Hi everyone, i'll continue this in the near future. I haven't been near my PC for 5 weeks since i'm doing a lot of stuff, which also includes that i'm in a transition from moving from The Netherlands to France to join the Police Nationale in the future. Moving to France includes getting a B1 recognized European French Diploma which obviously takes a lot time. Next to that, i also didn't have any motivation to pick good screenshots that i've taken recently lmao. Next up will be The Netherlands and France. Thank you to @mitarashi for letting me know about the Japanese vehicles (your English is good!), i will do an updated version of Japan in the near future too. Stay safe and have a nice day!

If you have any questions or need a real inside of what it's like to be a French police officer feel free to message me, i might change your mind lol. I'm a French firefighter and work with them all day.

I also spent some time as an emergency medical responder in Quebec, should someone have questions about that too.

So after a long time, i've decided to update this thread.

Today it's the turn of the Netherlands, the country where i was born and where i currently reside.

The Netherlands isn't a very big country, and after the restructure of the Dutch police a few years ago, the Dutch police consists of 10 regional units and one central national unit. We also have a Gendarmerie, named the Marechaussee (i don't have any GTA pictures of them, though). The Marechaussee mainly focuses on airports, borders, immigration, guarding the royal family, serving as military police for the dutch armed forces, international protection, etc etc.

The Dutch police mainly uses these vehicles:
Volkswagen Touran

Mercedez Benz B Class

Volkswagen Transporter

Mercedes Vito

Audi A6/Volvo V70 (The Audi will replace the Volvo fully in the coming years)

If you'd like to see how any of these look in real life, go to google and search any of the vehicle names with the word "politie" behind it (example: Volkswagen Touran politie) that way you'll easily find them. For a full list of (known) marked & unmarked cars, go here and scroll down to the "vehicles" tab: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_enforcement_in_the_Netherlands

The Mercedes cars are supposed to slowly replace all the Volkswagens in the country. As to for unmarked cars, we use a lot of different brands, simply too many to name. In a lot of European countries, we don't have fixed unmarked cars such as crown vics and chargers, instead we use vehicles that you could see on the road daily and that don't stand out to the rest. Example: https://youtu.be/wLNQVtGVhrY?t=21

Moving on to the GTA side of things now, i've patrolled and tried to think of taking pictures with every single car:

Volkswagen Touran 2016

Volkswagen Transporter 5

20200105000346_2.thumb.jpg.5973aeed14cbeb17ef7d96ed17c1eaae.jpg

Mercedes Vito

20200105000938_1.thumb.jpg.9a05501345715eebccbdbfc36998d7af.jpg

Audi A6 (used by the national unit of the police)

20200104214451_1.thumb.jpg.7e2a473e63c979f6bfc517cdc1550194.jpg

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In this series i mainly focus on ordinary officers who work the streets, i don't focus on stuff like SWAT. If you'd like more information on the Dutch SWAT, anti-terrorism unit, etc, i'd advice you go to back to the Wikipedia article that i posted with the vehicle information and read through it, if you're interested.

In the next edition of this series (which will likely be France), i will also start including screenshots focusing on the uniforms.

I've also added an imgur album with additional pictures of screenshots that i took of the Dutch police in GTA, check it out if you'd like:

https://imgur.com/a/Gj8Smv2

Dutch mod links:

Cars: https://www.gta5-mods.com/users/Ministerie van Mods and https://www.gta5-mods.com/search/Politie

Uniforms: https://www.gta5-mods.com/player/dutch-eup-mod

Siren: https://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta5mods/audio/16089-dutch-siren-pack-els-add-on/ if you DO use these, only use the ELS edits from the "police.xml" and "policeb" (policeb for motorcycles only and you can use ambulance/firetruk for the obvious vehicles, if you'd like) because the other sirens are fictional.

For Dutch cars, use the visualsettings.dat that you can find in ANY of the police cars from these people: https://www.gta5-mods.com/users/Ministerie van Mods

Those are the best visualsettings.dat for Dutch cars, altough if you switch back to American cars i'd recommend downloading a different one, because it makes Dutch cars have bright lights, but other cars will have dim lights. So only use that for Dutch cars.
