Problem Replacing police4.wft

Burnout

Recommended Posts

I'm hoping someone can help me here. For some reason I am unable to replace police4.wft in TBoGT. I read everything I found, have the correct textures for the vehicle, it's installed in the correct directory, but the default car still displays in-game. I already tried starting a new game, attempted to replace again using Spark instead of OpenIV, nothing wants to work. I know I have to be missing something, but there is not enough documentation in written form that outlines replacing EFLC vehicles and emergency vehicles specifically. I have the Steam version of EFLC if it helps. And I was able to replace police1 and police2 without an issue. If I just rename a car (example: police1 or police2) to police4, would it work? Or is there something I need to do in zmodeler? Or are some files locked from being modded in TBoGT?

TBoGT has its own vehicles.img file.

It can be found inside your EFLC file:

TBoGT > PC > Models > CDimages

Processor: Intel i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

Ram: 16GB Skylake

I have noticed a bug with Spark IV:

Sometimes when you click rebuild, it resets the latest import you have done.

It happens to me all the time. Now a days, I only click save and it works better than rebuilding :D

The problem was on my end the whole time. I forgot to mention that I normally copy and paste the install to a GTA dedicated partition on my computer. With GTA IV, I can have several different installs each with their own set of mods. With EFLC however, the game loads TBoGT and TLAD specific game files from the original install directory, which for me was in my Steam folder. So while the game would load the modded files from the common vehicles shared between the games, the version specific vehicles loads from the Steam directory. That is what I had to mod to get the files to work. Thank you guys for the help. And I hope my experience can someday help someone else.
