ZombLee 94
Hey guys, So I downloaded a very nice Federal Signal SS2000 with rumbler siren mod for my game, as I'm trying to get as close to the NYPD as possible, whilst still keeping everything Liberty City, as the LCPD and Liberty City itself is modeled directly after New York City. The siren mod is outstanding, sounds perfect, however, it's a bit quiet. Of the other SS2000 siren mods I've tried, this one is the most realistic, it's just too low in volume. I was wondering if it's possible to up the volume of it a bit. Of course, I don't know how this is possible, and sadly I haven't found a way to edit the Horns.IVAUD file. Thanks in advance to anyone who knows! --Lee
Faracus 59
I'm not familiar with the mod, but a good place to check is in the .ini file. That's usually where any definable settings are. ZombLee 94
I'm not familiar with the mod, but a good place to check is in the .ini file. That's usually where any definable settings are. Unfortunately, because this is a sound mod that replaces files using programs like SparkIV or OpenIV, it doesn't install with an .ini file like a script would or something. Unless there's an .ini file within the Horns.ivaud file? I'll have to check. Thank you for the suggestion!
Faracus 59
Another thing you can do is export the .ivaud and use the ivaud editor to extract the sounds as an .wav or whatever (it's been a while since I edited sounds) then use a sound editor to beef up the sound, then just put it back in. *EDIT*http://www.vilavek.com/apps/gtaivaud.php thats the link to the IVAUD editor in case you don't have it already. ZombLee 94
Hmm, I'll have to give that a go, Faracus! Thank you very much. I've never edited sounds at all before, so I'll definitely have to give that a shot!
Faracus 59
Word of caution, when you click on a sound with the IVAUD editor it will play the sound, and if your wearing headphones and are not expecting it, then it will cause you to jump as I have found out from experience. ^.^ Quote GMC FounderCheck out our Public Computer Database | Try out my Script's Members should not be afraid of their community, community's should be afraid of their members.
