Infinite Load Loop

Featured Replies

After doing all the required updates after the latests GTA Update, RPH is not loading the game anymore, it just keeps stuck on the Story loading Screen. Anyone knowing something about that?

captain

If you have OpenIV, start that up and it will show a green bar saying your update.rpf file in your mods folder is outdated and wants you to replace it with the new one. Select that and you're good to go.

NOTE: You may lose all your visual mods if you have them in your update.rpf file and need to reinstall them such as VisualV, NaturalVision Remastered, RadianceV etc.

Best solution I have come up with is to try this.

First to test if this method will indeed work for you.   Go to your mods folder and rename it to something like mods - copy.    Next start RagePluginHook.exe   if it allows you to go to the game and go on duty then this will work for you.   If you are still getting an infinite loop of loading lspdfr in story mode, this may not not help sorry.

Next  make a new mods folder.   Copy over your update folder and paste it into your new mods folder (note this will take awhile as its about 11 gigs or so).   Next go to that mods - copy folder and try and salvage something that you might remember install pathways.  For example you can probably copy over your entire  patchday20ng folder and overwrite the one that you now have in your mods folder.

There will still be little odd and ends things that you might forget, but at least you don't have to reinstall GTA 5 which is now over 70 gigs from Steam servers.

Its all good.  Easy fix to redownload and install rather than redownload GTA V from steam lol

So, then when I have the update folder all in the new "mods" folder, do I add the other folders/files in there too?

Actually yes.  You can recover vehicles that way as well.  I have not experimented with the update.rpf folder however.  I have things I would like to salvage as well.  I will report back if I can get this to work.
