The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Need more reworked animations.

Featured Replies

Do you know why I like to use the vanilla LSPDFR features? It's because they have better animations when I interact with different people as a cop. Yeah I know that different plugins can create a more real-life situations but they really lacks on animations. As an example we have this video:

The arrest animation has been cut for the player use only when he puts the cuffs on. Then the 0.4 version added the grabbing option wich is basically a combination of this thing in the video with a basic walking animation. It has been done really great, no complains about that. Also the holstering animation has been done really good, even if the pistol in the holster is just a texture and not a weapon in our case. But I think we need from this whole animation a cut sequence where you put the suspect in the car and close the door properly, not walking into it or in an AI case the suspect will magically close the door by itself with his hands cuffed and in the back. Better than leaving the door open anyway 🙂

Now here comes the interesting part.

Above I presented you that the arrest animation was cut from the entire sequence but in some cases it might continue. I played a lot of hours LSPDFR 0.4 and only one I encountered the animation being played entirely, both the cuffing and the frisking. So it seems like the game rarely gets confused of playing the entire animation or a cut sequence of it. You know how it looks the arrest animation with all his actions from beginning to end, but the frisking one looks a bit weird(cuz it was new for me :))but really well done. I would like to ask the developers to try to expand the sequences of animations, mainly because there are a ton of them left by Rockstar and unused yet.

Here are the best examples:

All they need to do is to try to sync the player and the npc to the proper positions to have the animation done.

In conclusion, I would like for developers to focus more on adding animations than other stuff.

it's almost impossible to create new animations in GTA V.

LSPDFR and plugin developers are mostly using the existing GTA V animations and play around them.

Sometimes, they do some kind of hacks to combine several animations and put them together to generate the desired animation.

most of the animations showed in your video above are actually coming from  "scenario".

there's still no way to extract the animation from "scenario".

But I showed you that the arrest animation has been cut from that specific scenario, so somehow they made that possible. It will be much easier to do some simple animations of arresting suspects in other positions.

Most of the animations you see in the video you posted are actually from GTA IV and do not exist in GTA V.  They have been used for the TV clips, and that's it.

I don't think there's much point in trying to use the sequence for putting someone in a car.  It relies everyone to be in a very specific place, doesn't work on the other side of the car, and will only look proper when used with the vanilla police3 model.

We have been experimenting with different animation related stuff recently, and you can see a lot of our recent work in the flashlight, radio and 'Intimidate' animations.

You're right, it really requires a lot of conditions to make that animation play properly. But since we're in the suggestions topic, I'd like to say some stuff that I would love to be added in the game. First of all I think that the vanilla LSPDFR even if it's a bit limited in some stuff it need to not let some things suspended. Let's say we're in a traffic stop and my police computer says that registration is expired. How do I know what kind of ticket he deserves if I can only type the citation amount? It really needs a menu with some simple traffic offences. And maybe a tow and coroner service wich will use the in-game despawning system for the specific cars or bodies. And finally if you think it woth a shot a proper spotlight for vanilla cars and helicopters. I really kinda miss the alexguirre spotlight not being compatible with our current game version.

Since cop NPC-s on foot while searching for a suspect use their flashlights I tought maybe cars can do the same for a greater immersion 😉

@Sam @LMS @ericcelrosu On-foot locomotion has been sullied ; consigned to days gone , the ability to employ a unique walkstyle and conjure a host of bespoke actions (e.g. peering over one’s shoulder). Technically, such flourishes are concomitants for a versed eye... I suggest the right honourable gentlemen , reimplement said features with haste. Philanthropic regards and so forth
