Hey everyone. I updated to LSPDFR 0.4.2 not too long ago and I keep getting crashes with regards to the ArrestManager (not to be confused with Albo's Arrest Manager) in LSPDFR. I'm not exactly sure what's causing the crash. @the10thLegend had a similar crash I believe. I compared my crash log and his and it is very similar. It just seems to happen randomly out of nowhere without any user input. Not on a traffic stop but pretty much anytime. Hopefully someone can shed some light into this. I haven't changed my setup prior to updating to LSPDFR 0.4.2.

Probably the mod isn't compatible with 0.4.2 yet. Remove it and carry on playing

I've removed it a long time ago. This is not Albo's Arrest Manager just for clarification but the Game Fiber is named "ArrestManager".

Yes, as it appears it comes with LSPDFR.

Hmm... Do you have any other crash logs at all? I know I had a similar issue when the game spawned 'POLICE2', and it seems it did that just before the 'arrestmanager' crash, so could be linked. I wondered if there was a pattern?

Yeahhhhhh. I noticed the same thing. I have another log from someone here who appeared to have the same crash. Although it was several seconds before the crash, the game was also spawning "POLICE2"

That was likely me hahaha.

I found the fix for that, was to edit the 'agency.xml' in the lspdr folder, and removed police2 from the lspd roster. That's the only thing I can think of. What were you doing at the time of the crash by the way?

Actually it was someone else. I tagged him at the first post. Ummmm, I've had two crashes. First one was me just about to enter the police station (I was already on duty), and the second one was me just standing around checking out the police shield feature. 

So I compared my log and the other guy's log. It seems like the game spawns POLICE 2 then approximately about 15-30 seconds later, the "ArrestManager" crash occurs. Strange indeed.

I use a custom agency XML file. Would I have to remove it from the custom XML as well? It's in my customs folder.

Yeah, you should only need to remove it from the agency.xml I believe, as that sets up the cars and equipment you can select when going on duty, as well as what the other officers will be using/driving when responding to ambient events. Always worth giving that a try.

Okay so I don't need to do it to my agency_eup.xml that is in my customs folder? 

It seems like LSPDFR just merges both default and custom XML files.

Remove it from both just so we can eliminate it entirely and we'll go from there 🙂

Just wondering, what car is set up in your POLICE2?

Mine's also a Charger 🙂 I don't think it matters what the car is though, as I've had it crash without any car mods in. It just doesn't like Police2 for some reason, I guess it could be because POLICE2 doesn't *usually* spawn in the vanilla game in traffic.

If you want to use the Charger, change the PoliceOld1 (Yankton cop car) to the charger, and add that to the agency/eup list, that's what I ended up doing

Ah okay. Yeah, I've pretty much used up ALL police slots in the game for every car imaginable. Hahaha.

But yeah, I'll get to removing Police2 and report back here with results. 😄

So instead of going with your advice (I'm sorry btw), I decided to switch out the default agency XML with my custom agency_eup xml, and renamed it accordingly. So now LSPDFR is just reading one agency XML file instead of both the default and the custom one before.

I'm not sure why but the LSPDFR customs folder isn't working the way I thought it would work. It seems to read both default and custom files according to the RAGE log. I think this is by design as to what I've read on the LSPDFR 0.4 Wiki.

I managed to run LSPDFR just driving around the area where POLICE2 spawns frequently as you see in this picture and it doesn't seem to be crashing anymore.

I feel like there may have been a conflict somewhere when LSPDFR was reading both the default and custom agency.xml file.

@TheStegosaurus Did you have an agency XML file in the default and custom folder when you had a crash as well?

I just had the default one in, I’ve only recently put EUP in my game, but haven’t had any crashes. Good to see you’ve got the car spawning though, and by the sounds of things your issues have stopped 🙂

 

by the way, are you running a graphics mod? Game looks a lot cleaner than mine and I play on ultra lol

I am currently using VisualV in combination with NaturalVision Remastered. 

EDIT:  Looks like our theory of POLICE2 spawning causing the crash just flew out the window. Just got another ArrestManager crash. But the game was spawning police4 50 seconds before the game crashed. Looks like we need to dig deeper unfortunately. 😞 

@LMS Hopefully I'm not bothering you but could you probably shed some light into this. Rage Log is at the top for reference. We'd be really grateful for the help. 🙂

Additional info

Are you arresting someone when this crash happens or are you just driving around? The arrest logic is triggered with an invalid ped.

Nope. Wasn't arresting someone. It just seems to crash randomly regardless of what I do.
