Sergeant Nighthawk got a reaction from BlueLine Vibes in Fake Traffic Stops Crash
Already tried that actually. But I was never able to reproduce it. The crash randomly occurs. On some sessions with my modded vehicles, I can play for hours without the issue above.
And it is not specific to one vehicle. It happens regardless of what police vehicle and civilian vehicle is spawned on the fake traffic stop.

Not gonna lie, there's a part of me that wants to update my plugins to help encourage people to stay away from this sort of thing.  I'll see how I feel as the weekend approaches, but no promises!

    Hi,

I was notified today (thanks @unitedOrange66) about PHEREM SICARIO on Patreon selling at least one of my plugins (Rich's Police Enhancements) under the name Officer Tactics.  This stolen plugin is showcased in this YouTube video by BlueLine Vibes.

While I no longer maintain my plugins, they are still available for free here on LSPDFR, and the source code is available on Github.  People have DM'd me to ask permission to work off of my code in order to update the plugin for themselves, which I have no problem with.

I've submitted a DMCA claim to Patreon and left a comment on BLV's video.  Just wanted to warn the community here as well to help mitigate the risk of unsuspecting people getting scammed.

Additional proof that these files are directly stolen from me can be found by decompiling his files and finding my name in some of the file paths (along with my code/class names that haven't been changed).

Update:  Patreon has processed my DMCA claim and the content has been removed (for now).  Thanks for the support everyone!

I know this is old but I want to help anyone else that comes along looking for this.
The actual bloom of the lights comes from the timecycle files in update/update.rpf/common/data/timecycle.
The files you need to edit are all the weather files so for example w_clear.xml or w_rain.xml.
In these files you need to find the "<postfx_intensity_bloom>" lines. There are two in each file. One is about a third of the way down and the other is near the bottom. I can't remember what either line does but you need to change both.
Edit all the numbers on each line to desired values. I personally prefer to use 0.1000 for all my ones but depending on your visualsettings, I recommend between 0.0500 and 0.2000. I have an example of my one so you can see and copy/paste if you want:
<postfx_intensity_bloom> 0.1000 0.1000 0.1000 0.1000 0.1000 0.1000 0.1000 0.1000 0.1000 0.1000 0.1000 0.1000 0.1000</postfx_intensity_bloom> You can however edit it according to the time of day. You can see just above the postfx section a set of numbers representing the time of day each value is associated with. Again, I personally prefer to just have it all the same.
So you need to edit both these lines in every weather timecycle file you want to. I did them all but you can do whichever ones you want. Leave the timecycle_mods.xml files alone unless you also want to edit the bloom for in tunnels etc but be careful.
Also it should be obvious. If you want more bloom increase the number, if you want less, decrease it.

If you want to test and edit while in-game I strongly recommend getting the VSReloader mod. It works great. You can edit your visualsettings and timecycle files while in-game, then press F10 and it reloads in your edits so it's way easier to get the right visuals for the game without having to constantly reload the game which takes forever.

    Hope that helps people.

Sergeant Nighthawk reacted to 1YuKlos in Make the decals show in EUP
For everyone who wants to get the decals back, you can move them in other categories (parachute, mask, etc.) and it'll work. RPG somewhat made the decals not load since it's an online asset.

You can refer here where you can find the files and folders and move them to what every category you want them in. I'd suggest moving them in the hat category if you don't use hats when on patrol.

Make sure to backup your EUP folder and wait until Alex Ashfold fixes this bug.

Absolutely. Here you go. Crash happens at line 3815.

I got a couple other logs too saved ending with those crashes as well but this just my most recent one. Just happens at random without warning.

Howdy everyone. I've been playing LSPDFR for a while (since 2017) and been watching other YouTubers play as well like @FirstThirtyMinutes and @Jeff Favignano being my personal favorite. I'm not sure if this topic will even be noticed but I'll be happy if it does. I decided to start out making LSPDFR videos just about a month and a half ago and been constantly uploading ever since along with some SWAT 4 and one shot of other games just to fill the niche. If you guys somehow stumble upon here and find my content entertaining, I'd be grateful for it. 😁

This will always appear, even for me. I can assure you so far for the most part, these plugins will work normally so you can ignore these messages. 🙂

I think I treated it as a peaceful demonstration and spent the better part of an hour individually addressing each ped and asking them to leave. A few refused so were arrested for various offenses and the ones that started to fight were dealt with by the riot squad. Its a great scenario on it's own because you can block off the road, shut down traffic, establish a perimeter etc, but after a while it does get annoying. I never did quite figure out which pack caused it.

There were a few topics on this a while back. It was suggested that a callout pack was causing it.

This problem is solved for me as I've changed the keybindings to avoid the crash.

Firstly, LSPDFR is the framework that other devs apply their mods to. It's up to the devs to keep their mods up-to-date. Sadly some devs retire or lose interest so we lose out on some great things. As annoying as that may be, this isn't a reason to avoid updating LSPDFR any further.

I mentioned the hotfix for PeterUCallouts already. That will fix your issues there.

Why did you spend two weeks looking for a bad texture..?

STP isn't a callout pack. As for the others, have you reported the issues to the authors and supplied your log? Without this, they can't fix anything.

I'd disagree that the community is weakening however you're entitled to your opinion.

Lastly, you don't need to update to 0.4.2. Stick with 0.4 or 0.4.1 until things catch up. If your game was flawless, why upgrade

I'm the same. I use over 80 plugins and have a stable game. 0.4.2 came along and now somethings don't work. Stick with 0.4.1 until everything catches up. Nothing gained. Nothing lost.

    I agree, but I think you mean 0.4.2 😉

It is annoying that every time there is a new update, some scripts and stuff will crash and you have to dig through content and make sure everything is up to date before you start playing but honestly, it's something to come to expect with today's post-release patch culture and I doubt this and LSPDFR will be the only victims of this. As for now, if plugin compatibility is janky, it's either you stick to the earlier version or wait until the plugins become compatible with the latest patch; it's not even three days since 0.4.3 was released so be patient if developers for these plugins are still active.

The key setup is fine, it is a bug within our code. We will fix this soon.

There is an issue where a previous gunpoint arrest did not shut down correctly, which is then continued when you either press the key to arrest or stop again and will subsequently crash. I will fix it. If both, arresting and stopping are assigned to the same key, this issue should not occur, though.

I agree with this. I actually ran out of ammo during a shootout and had to run for cover while backup had to do the job. I also carry the amount LEOs usually carry. One magazine in the Glock 17 and two magazines on my person. Also three magazines for my patrol rifle. 😄

Hey everyone! I wanted to say thank you to everyone that works on this mod and the addons. It's been a fun few weeks getting everything setup and playing this mod. I've been streaming for a few years but my schedule has changed a lot and this has given me a great opportunity to get better at video editing.   I'm about 30 YT subs from getting my custom URL if you'd like to help me out.
