How to find the ELS files to get the police lights to work?

Featured Replies

The sound works when i press the light key but the lights don't light up. I have read to change a 0 to a 1 in the ELS file but i cant find this file. Do i need to have a program to open it or is it hidden somewhere?

Another quick question, if i didn't back up the vehicles cdimage. So do i have to reinstall the game and also reinstall LCPDFR?

1. Make sure your cars are ELS enabled.

2. That .ini file should be located in your GTA directory.

3. Press J for primary lights, K for secondary and L for warning lights. With ELS G only toggles siren.

If you didn't backup something and now you want it back, you can install whole game to another directory and use it for backup.

Thanks for the info but i have EFLC downloaded from the gamestop app. I've looked for the ini file but with no luck would it be under TBoGT / TLAD folder or under the EFLC folder? I'm sorry i'm just downloaded this and very new to me.

Well, I'll have to ask somebody else, as I don't have EFLC. Logic tells me it should be there where you put it (EFLC folder). Maybe you haven't installed it correctly at all?

You said the sound works. Do you mean the ELS siren works or the in-game siren? The difference between the two is that the in-game one is also linked to "G" so you may be using the in-game siren instead of the ELS siren. Make sure you installed all of the files included in the ELS folder that you downloaded.

Files should be in the EFLC folder. From the sound of it, you are pressing the sirens key but not pressing the lights key, which is J for primary lights and K for secondaries. Make sure that these files are in the right place and try again.

Ok is the ELS part of the game or the mod? What happens on a mod police car is when i hit G the sound comes on but the lights don't although some of the lights light up, but when i hit G to turn it off the lit lights stay on while the sound goes off.

May be a stupid question but, with a mod police car do i not use G at all and use J K L for the lights?

i'm sorry guys i now just realized that ELS is a download thing. I'm very sorry about this confusion if i did everything correctly it should work. Again guys sorry like i said i'm very new at all of this.
