On the main download page / spotlight with autoscrolling, a few UX issues

Recommended Posts

Just a quick thread.

On this page https://i.imgur.com/VKm0YDo.png described in the title, there are some important limitations which make it difficult and inconvinent to read up on popular downloads

  • You can't scroll up or down the list
  • You can't right / ctrl click to open mods in a new tab
  • You can't turn off auto scroll (more of a preference thing)

Would appreciate if you could look into this, would make it much easier to read mods instead of loading the same page again and again in new tabs then clicking on each mod of interest

Thanks.

For points one and three, these are mostly design choices. We don't really have the time at the moment to go back and review these, but will consider this in the distant future. We are working on a page that will show all featured/trending files separately that we feel would work better.

Point two is definitely annoying and I'll see if we can get a fix in for that by end of week.

Thanks so much! I can live with only a fix for point two. Appreciate your hard work

Hey! Not sure if you haven't had the chance to implement a fix (which is understandable) but if you have I just wanted to say it doesn't work on my end, i can't open anything in a new tab

This should be done now.
