GTA IV/EFLC Low FPS.

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I recently bought myself a new laptop, i wanted 1 that can run Gta IV/ELFC Easily so i benchmarked the whole laptop, and it says he can run it easy.

But when i am ingame i only get 15 FPS on Low Settings. (I updated the game)

I only have car mods, LCPD:FR, a not working luminance mod, spotlight (not working either), and a road texture.

but without the mods it has 17 FPS on low, while the benchmarking said i can run it on high easy.

This are my laptop specs:

CPU: AMD A8-4500 APU with Radeon ™ HD Graphics 1.90 GHZ

Ram: 4,00GB

Windows: 64 Bit system

Graphic card: AMD Radeon HD 7640G + 7670M Dual graphics.

i hope you guys can help me!

And i am using EFLC Atm.

I'm really not sure that the graphics card you are using is suitable for GTA IV but I am terrible with Radeon cards. However 1.90GHZ does sound very low, I run a GTX 560 at 3.00GHZ.

My pc can run gta4 really good, and i only get about 15 fps, 20 on a good day and 50 on a rare day. Gta4 was poorly coded.

CanIRunIt isn't a very good representation as it's just showing R*'s recommended requirements, which are too low to run the game. GTA IV isn't a very good port from consoles which results in poor performance on even the most powerful of computers.

Try getting rid of your road textures because they could be slowing down the game substantially. Also, as much as you might not like to do it, lower your settings. If this doesn't work, click the 'optimal settings' on the settings menu. It sounds stupid, but making the settings higher makes the game run faster on my PC!

Check the size of your car mods. Car mods of a higher Mb count than 2-3 are very high poly models. That can cause low FPS.

Also try and uninstall every mod that isn't working. It might be causing low FPS because they are trying to load but not working. If you have any script mods, temporarily remove them and see if that helps.

Hope this helps ya'!

okay Thanks all!!

i think i had like 17 fps when i just had run it without mods.

does anybody have some nice links of low poly cars.(Or Recommandations)

and i already got everything on low, but i will try the optional settings ;)

i will delete the Spotlight mod and airhorns too because those aren't working.

thanks again!

Edit:
