I notice a few pics i have seen that some are actually using the radar, I installed it using openIV, and I got crashes like mad crazy. should we wait for update or am I doing something wrong? I actually seen a video on youtube it was posted in april of a beta version, looks cool though:

Well i have tried to install it several times and I just can't seem to get it working. I was following the installation guide step by step and I still get the same result, Crash. So im going to wait until a more stable one is released or a .exe file is released. But if Sniper is going to give every one support and help each and every one out to get it working which I doubt he will because I believe he is being spammed out and that he is busy enough with working with the mod.

So I will wait.

Guys when do you get the crashes when you spawn the radar (alt+r) or when you aim (RMB)?

@ Ridgerunner, i get the crashes after hitting the "start" the second time when music is playing then it crashes....

For some reason some people are experiencing crashes with Sniper's script. I haven't had any crashing except when exiting the game so I don't know why, might have something to do with UAC settings during installation since mine are off but thats just a random guess. I've seen other users rename the radar model to a weapon and spawn it, but it may look odd since I haven't optimized it for any other animation yet. From there you can use Rushlinks radar script like Kpdofficer did in the video posted.

@ Ridgerunner, from your last comment on here, If I used Rushlink's radar script do I still need to install police tools? I tried renaming a weapon using gpt_radar and enabled the script and I do see it running on top left of page, but as soon as i aim at a vehicle everyone freaked out...lol they dont see the radar, they still see the weapon!!!

Something like this should be incorporated into LCPDFR, then we could be traffic cops :D

I can't get my gun to show up at all, but here again, I'm not using Snipers Policing Tools cause it doesnt work for me. I do have "twoninersix" in my cdimages and added the radar gun, but when I hit "alt+r" nothing happens. Though I do get the crash when I end the game.

Any way to make it just a dummy so the AI dont see it as a gun so the rest of us can use it without Snipers script for the time being until he rolls out a working update?

The problem isn't so much of adding it as something other then a gun, but it's spawning in game. I have 0 script knowledge so I rely on guys like Sniper296 and Sam to come up with a way to spawn the model in game.

I renamed my gpt_radar file to my uzi, with rushlink script, when i goto the game (with script enabled), as soon as I aim my radar at a vehicle, everyone freaks out, they still see the uzi, even though its my radar.

lol yeah i know. I just figured i'd give it a shot hoping that the radar gun would spawn itself lol. So, without his script, hitting alt-r wont do anything with your gun? Got it lol
