All these ini files, a script here or there but still no solution to units arriving on scene like the paint on their cars doesn't matter. I mean forgive me but nothing looks and feels better and more real than clearing a wreck off the freeway with a flatbed careening into oncoming traffic just to assist me with the clean up. Or a police transport slamming into the back of local traffic just to get a good parking spot for the pick up and how about lastly a coroner van mauling innocent bystanders as it arrives to photograph dead bodies. You get my point.... 

 

I certainly hope a script to fix such recklessness is being addressed for the near future and if not, how can I help? I mean, it might make for funny YouTube videos, but I don't think that's what LSPDFR was created to be about. Maybe I'm wrong.. smh

Yeah I agree, some kind of polish on this would be nice. I have no idea how it could be achieved though.

GTA is first and foremost a crime simulator sandbox, realistic / careful driving wasn't too high on the priority list when the game was developed I can imagine 🙂 LSPDFR does try to modify the AI, but it is extremely difficult and something that is very much a huge part of GTA V as a game. 

 

You can use this mod (shameless self-promotion) to make the police cars in the game invincible, which might help you a little bit - The source is included so with a little tinkering you could add more cars to the list of invincible cars. It doesn't help their driving, but at least they won't be wrecks on arrival;

I should note that I have managed to make it all more bearable by "slowing traffic down" at the scene using stoptheped's ped/vehicle search menu as I noticed that the radius for slowing traffic down affects backup units like tow trucks, prison transports and coroner vans allowing them more time to decide where to park.

Closing nearby roads can sometimes be a good option as well
