I've not seen it before.. Maybe try to run GTA as an admin?

Generally for memory to be unable to be written in my experience (first hand with it a few times, perhaps not for the same reason) it indicates that the PC isn't clearing RAM after using applications. So for that I am going to suggest a full restart of the PC.

Next suggestion would be to uninstall the game completely, start with a fresh install, install your basic mods if you can start the game properly. If no issues arise then start to slowly add other mods and see if the problem arises again.

Are you good with the "cmd" box on windows? That message usually means you need to allocate more memory.

also, post your CPU specs

Post up your full specs list.

CPU, RAM, Video Card, HDD.

Also if you're not familiar with a cmd box or know what one is I'm going to suggest you steer clear of it, it has the power to break a lot of things from only a small mistake.

NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS (I think) or ATI Radeon XPRESS 200 Series

250 GB HDD (Don't know how much I have left)

I reinstalled it, and it worked w/out any mods for about 5 min. Then it had a normal GTAIV.exe has stoped responding, no memory things. Then I started to add basic mods (RC2,SNT,Indicator) I normally also use ELS and cars, but forgot to add them. That is where I started getting the same memory issue.

Ya, it's pretty weak, I'm working on it, and about to send it to a person to see what exactly I have, what I can change, need, and not change.

P.S. I don't like to be "that" guy, but it's recommend.

u cant upgrade that pc at all trust me jsut replace it with a minimum quad core and 8 gb ram with a good 1 mb video card

Are you kidding me! If I'm going to get a whole new pc, I'm getting a AMD FX 8 core with 8 GB 16 GB RAM and a 2 GB SAPPHIRE 11188-22-20G Radeon HD 6950 that I will most likely later on upgrade to a 4 GB. I have my whole pc planed out with a motherboard and everything if I need a whole new one. :D

i meant as a bare minimum pc because gta4 is a quad core game it wont recognize more than 4 cores

hey everyone i pretty much have the same specs. an old dell.

Pentium 4 ht

2.5 gb of ram

Nvidia geforce 210 1gb

is it mandatory to upgrade. because i dont necesarily have the money for a brand new pc
