Looking at Friday 10th August for the release.

  • Showcase Video is here

  • 2.3 should fix any issues with locations not showing up.  There was also an issue in the previous version where resist arrest would prevent or sometimes crash when LCPDFR arresting, this has been fixe

Good luck with the mod man! Looks AWESOME!

Kind of doubt that he needs a testing team, since he is anticipating a friday August 10th release. But, you never know. :)

Just a request (if possible). I got this idea from real life. Today while returning from college, I saw a Merc S-Class being pulled over by a bike unit. The driver was talking on phone while driving. I believe you could use this animation as IV supports this feature in various missions? Would love to pull over random vehicles if they have peds with that "talking-on-phone" animation. Once again, would be great only if its possible to script something like that.

Of course how did that slip my mind! I'll see if I can add that. No testers required at the minute, I have one person testing it for just now (and making a showcase video too).

Braveheart...... you sir, are a god amongst men ^_^ Been looking for quite a few features in there to add to my enjoyment. Thank you x9999. Will add u to credits list when I start making my own GTA4 series, heh

EDIT: Oh forgot, will this need EFLC or can work with gta4 by itself?

The Zed, I already answered that above:

One idea that I'm surprised hasn't been added to any police mods so far, is missions that include entering buildings (with the exception the the one LCPDFR domestic assault mission that pretty much always ends up outside). I'm not sure if it's more difficult than it seems but there's so much potential. You can add multiple different types of raids, assault calls, suspected robberies, barricaded suspects and even more I'm not thinking of. Anyway if this is a possibility here's a very useful link that includes an interactive map showing all the enterable buildings with their locations, as well as many other bits of GTA IV info.

(Click the plus by "Points of Interest" then check "Building with Interior")

Anyway amazing mod so far, and great progress. I can't wait to see your finished product.

Braveheart: Looking extremely cool. :) It's nice to have something new while waiting the next version of LCPD:FR. Definitely increases roleplaying elements. A huge thumbs up for you good ser.

Bravehart, do you plan to add settings for minimal and maximum time between callouts? Something like in LCPD:FR. I ask because I want to add some callouts for my mod in the future and 3 callouts at the same time may be a bit too much for some officers ;)

It didn't cross my mind because I want my mod to be as realistic as I can make it. Thus incidents will be generated at random intervals. There is the option to set yourself to not available and no calls will be generated.

Have added random drivers using their mobile phone. The only problem is the peds refuse to keep driving so this unfortunately means they'll stop before doing the talking on the phone animation, there doesn't appear to be a driving-while-talking animation either so the ped's feet will stick out the bottom of the car.

Best I could do.

So they'll stop in the middle of the road and talk on their phones? That's still something worth policing.

I agree which is why I left it in.
