The rockstar server updater in my region is down so I cant play LSPDFR. So even in single player rockstar servers still crush my dreams.

 

Anyway, unrelated to the discussion topic, best way to die in order to alleviate boredom?

You should be prompted if you want to play offline.  I block Rockstar Updates until I'm ready and it will prompt me with this message.  Start with Rage, click Offline and it will load.

I tried but it would either take way longer than I was willing to wait (10+ minutes) to load or immediately crash

I've had this error before and I've ended up just resorting to using a VPN in another region, because I couldn't be bothered waiting for them to get their stuff together.

If anyone else has this problem and is using Steam, just set Steam to offline mode and it will automatically load you into GTA V.
