Hey, this was my first thread, please look it up first: 

So I think I figured out why I cant run GTA V via RagePluginHook. I can only play GTA V using desktop shortcut "Grand Theft Auto V" or just by clicking "Play" from Steam. But when I double click on GTA5.exe from my GTAV folder the error says "Please run Grand Theft Auto V using PlayGTA.exe". I think thats the reason why RPH dissapears after "Validating hook" and "Validating system", because it tries to launch game trough GTA5.exe? Am i right? 

 

Is there any way to get RPH working? i googled it for hours but no fix so far but i really like to play LSPDFR and appreciate anyone, who help me closer to find solution. Thanks and sorry for quite incomprehensible story 🙂

For RPH to work you have double click "rage hook" in your GTAV directory.

Yes, ofcourse, I know that and that’s the problem what im talking about. When I double click on RagePluginHook theres comes only “Validating hook” and “Validating system” and after that the RPH launcher dissappears..

When I go to run Rage Hook it gets to the part opening game window and gives me the GTAV exited unexpectedly..thoughts?

I cant even ger this far..

Have you tried running the game first and then starting RPH once it is loaded?

That would launches 2 GTA V and the game will still crash. I've tried it already. You start the game yourself and when you start RPH, RPH doesnt seem to recognize that you have already launch the game, so it just start another GTA V.

If you run GTA V first then run RPH as admin, it goes on for a short moment then the game crashes before getting into the R* logo.

Just tried but the issue remains... Clicking on RagePluginHook only shows “Validating Hook” and “Validating system” and after that the RPH launcher dissapears..

Why don't you have a playgta5.exe? if you validate files should add it back in. validating will probably overwrite any mods

More than likely you playgta.exe file is quarantined in your antivirus.

How to validate game files if I have a Steam version? In main folder theres no playGTAV.exe file, theres only GTA5.exe and when I click on it it says "Please run Grand Theft Auto using playGTAV.exe"... Is it possible to download that playgtaV.exe file anywhere? Thats the reason why I cant run RPH and LSPDFR.

Forgot to add that reinstalling the game doesnt solve the problem.

 

Already tried but it doesnt create any “playGTAV.exe” file to the main GTA folder. I can only play the game using Steam or from desktop icon.

Have you tried searching for playGTAV.exe in your system as a whole? I don't know what the chances are but it could be that if it's located elsewhere, you could get to the bottom of why it's not launching properly

Thanks for answering! I will give it a try when I get back home. But is it possible that there is no playGTAV.exe at all in my version? As I said I can run the game fron desktop and Steam without any problems.

So I find out that my system doesnt have “playgtaV.exe” file at all, I searched it from the whole computer. What to do or is playgtaV.exe legally downloadable anywhere? Reinstalling the game is not solution because I already tried it and as I said I can play GTA fom Steam or desktop launcher without any problems..

Do you have playGTAV.exe file in your main GTA folder?
