***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***

From: Los Santos Police Department Public Information Office
Re: Officer Involved Shooting Incident 2/13/2022

At approximately 2300 hours, Los Santos Police Dispatch received a call from the witness to a shooting in the area of Didion Drive in West Vinewood. The witness reported a woman had shot a man at point blank range and fled the scene in a Purple Blista.

An LSPD officer patrolling the Richman neighborhood spotted a car matching the description and initiated a felony traffic stop with members of the University of Los Santos campus police. Upon exiting the vehicle, the driver pointed a compact automatic weapon at a University officer.  The officer and the LSPD officer opened fire on the driver, who was struck several times.

The driver, 18 year old Sabrina Alessi of Del Perro, was pronounced dead at the scene.  A MicroSMG weapon was recovered by LSPD as evidence. It is worth noting that Ms. Alessi had an active felony warrant for her arrest and was in possession of what appears to be illegal drugs at the time of the incident.

The incident continues to be investigated by the LSPD and University police departments.  The officers who fired their weapons are on administrative leave with pay, pending the outcome of the investigation, as is standard procedure. All inquires can be directed to the LSPD Public Information Office.
