Steam GTA IV (1.0.7.0) dsound.dll

Featured Replies

For some reason, my GTA doesn't allow mods to run unless I use xliveless.dll. I tried a lot of other methods and I just can't get mods to work unless I use xliveless. Is there any other solution so I can use mods online in LIVE? Thanks.

Do you have a cracked copy of the game?

Is it patched to the latest version?

Do you have updated versions of Games for Windows Live?

Do you have a cracked copy of the game? Hard to do on steam

Is it patched to the latest version? Steam send 1070 to him

Do you have updated versions of Games for Windows Live? high chances of yes

I use the steam version of GTA. I'm sure it's the latest version (1.0.7.0) and I downloaded Windows Live when I got the game since I needed it for multiplayer and singleplayer. The Windows Live is patched on the latest version.

Some patches act differently with each computer. When i ran 1040, i could not use Dsound, I had to use Xlive, when i bummped up to 1070 i didnt need it anymore, this game just is nuts with modding files for some reason

After reading some of the posts of the support forum, I found out that I had the 64-bit and 32-bit version of C++ Redistributable. Should I uninstall the 64-bit version? Anyway, I have my GTA IV folder set not to read-only. Launched LaunchGtaIV.exe in Admin mode and game works perfectly. Except for NO MODS WORKING. No mods work, not even the trainer or ragdoll. I removed LCPDFR scripts and tried trainer but still doesn't work. Vice-versa.

EDIT:

This is the diagnostic report of the tool without the trainer.

If you're running 64, then use the 64. If you're running 32, then run 32.

GTA and LCPDFR are both 32-bit applications, you need the version of C++ and .Net that the application, NOT the system, is. If you have a 64-bit CPU and OS then you are best off with both as you are bound to need it for something else.

You are using the WRONG right theme!
