Hello everyone. First timer using GTA IV mods here (I used them back on GTA III but that was a very different game). Short of that video that was taken down in one of the other forum sections, I haven't found any real straight forward guidance as far as getting this mod installed, so I have tried my best on my own Here's the deal so far:

I've read the "read this first" topic in this forum, and I've made sure to the best of my abilities that all my files are updated and installed in the right directories. I also used the diagnostic tool. However, the error report says in a nutshell that my ScriptHook files are out of date, but I used links both from here and some of the 'readme' files off of the various RAR and ZIP files I've had to download to see what the latest version is, and I appear to have it up to date.

When I launch the actual game, up in the top left corner it says something to the effect of "error in script number no.n3.t13".

My system specs are:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955BE

RAM: 6GB DDR3 OCZ Reaper

GPU: PNY XLR8 nVidia GeForce 570GTX

MOBO: ASUS M4A79T Deluxe

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

During the error report, everything passes except for the script hook files.

Beyond that, once I get everything running, is there anything else I have to do aside from hitting ALT + P to kick things off? Is that literally it?

I still get the same script error. Furthermore, now Windows Live tells me that I need to sign in to save games (just an hour ago I had several save games and I didn't need to sign in to play offline).

So, no that didn't work.

I re-installed the scripthook files in another link on this forum, and now it gives me the message "error in script number no.n3.t17" instead. The diagnostic report says the same thing as before, that it's "out of date" and says that my "system/installation" is not supported.

Please, do not doublepo- triplepost... Instead, edit your posts in the future. What LCPDFR version are you trying to run?

My apologies. I believe the latest version. The installer says .90a.

I see this site has version .91. I'll overwrite my old install with this one and see if it fixes it. Be back soon.

Okay, it seems to be working now, but because I'm forced to go to the beginning of the game, I can't save my progress and I don't know where there are any pay and spray shops to fix up my car after a pursuit. Any suggestions on that?

What do you mean save your progress? LCPDFR automatically reports your crime stats to the server. There's no "missions" in LCPDFR, so there's no point in saving - the mod is just to have fun and explore the different types of scenarios you can undertake. There are trainers to fix up your car - alternatively, just call for backup (ALT+B) and steal their car!

Well aren't a couple of the bridges close at the immediate beginning of the game? Also every time I start up GTA IV, if I want to play the LCPDFR mod, I have to take Roman to his house every single time. True it only takes a few minutes, but I hate it. I'd like to be able to load a save point where it's already done. Thanks for the help everyone.

No problem, you're welcome and enjoy the mod! Also, with the simple native trainer you can fix your patrol car, unlock the map (it removes the barricades) and stuff.
