I  found an existing CVPI slicktop that is a 'Non ELS' car. 

 

I would like to make this car ELS since it defaults to my keys on my gamepad and that makes it so easier to control the lights. I don't need to reconfigure the keys.

 

I've heard all I need to do is get one of the VCF files and rename to the same name as the file of the model. I tried that, but the lights were not lined up correctly?

You can't really convert non-ELS to ELS, but you can make it so that it does utilize ELS's siren controls.  Get a VCF for the car - you can copy one of your existing ones, and paste to your desktop.  The rename it to whatever this non-ELS car's name is.

 

Open the VCF, and change LstgActivationType to auto.

 

Now scroll down to "EOVERRIDE", change all IsElsControlled to "false"

 

Then save.
