GTX 1080... 10-25 FPS after going on duty

Featured Replies

As the title states I have a GTX 1080, I7 4770 3.5GHZ, the game without RPH I get 100+ FPS, when I launch with RPH i GET 50-60 and once I go on duty: teleport to pd it drops to 20-30, outside of the police station I get 10-20 FPS.

Any idea what's going on? or what I can troubleshoot for this?

Yes I do, thanks for the replies. I have the following installed MODS, I also have installed VisualV, RaidersViolenceOverhaul some vehicle models and police uniforms. The FPS drop only seems to happen when I'm using RPH and especially going on duty with LSPDFR.

Plugins Folder:

Cop Holster

DashcamV - Added after the FPS drop

EntityPersistence - Added after the FPS drop

KTFDO - Added after the FPS drop

RageShowMyLocation

Spotlight

WigWag - fix with no FPS drop

LSPDFR Plugins:

Arrest Manager

ArrestWarrantCallouts

Assorted Callouts

Automatic Roadblocks - Added after FPS drop

BetterEMS

Code 3 Callouts

CodeRedCallouts

ComputerPlus

CrazyCallouts

EasyLoadout

GangCallouts

HeroCop

LawCallouts

LSPDFR+

MakePedsCalmAgain

OJCallouts

PeterUCallouts

PoliceSmartRadio

ProtectionSquad

SearchWarrant

Traffic Policer

I just went through my graphic settings, lowered everything and the results are the same, 100+FPS at Franklins house, teleport to PD and watch my frame drop from 100 to 20-30.

I also moved my game from my external HDD to my SSD thinking it may help but no change.

Personally I have almost the same rig with a 1080 and I had to pick my plugins carefully.

Some callouts and plugins cause massive Fps lost and it is extremely difficult to find the culprits.

What I did was only run the most current callouts and plugins  and once my game was stable,  start adding more useless plugins(of course checking game startup after each one which takes time).

Most callouts are duplicates of others work so you should also read INI files to figure out which ones are duplicated works of art.

You also have a lot running at one game session in which you should create folders for the certain type of gameplay your looking for

for example protection squad (are you always escorting on every patrol ?)

also I suggest the following https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/gta-v-high-priority-launcher There are instructions on how to get it to work on RPH and if you don't have this already I  highly suggest running this first as I was running at avg 100-120FPS before lspdfr launches __________after lspdfr Im at 55-65 FPS avg which is a great experience

Thanks for the idea, I went through everything and after removing them one by one, I figured out the problem still happened after all of them were removed which lead me to check my other folders, I had some unused scripts in my scripts folder and it turns out the culprit was EnhancedMeleeCombat, it's unfortunate because it's very fun tackling peds to the ground when your unarmed but I rather have my 55-65 FPS ;)

thanks for the help!

I have the same problem which I talked about in this thread in details:

Did you found a workaround to this?

Edit: I found out what was my problem - it was the plugin "Keep Calm" that was causing this. Getting rid of this plugin helped. Ooooffff. Feels good.

I believe Keep Calm is outdated.

There is a new version which I have called: MakePedsCalmAgain.
