The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Hi can someone please help me. I'm not computer illiterate, but I don't think I'm doing this right. I downloaded LSPDFR First response. Downloaded plugins and mods, but i don't think I'm installing them right or putting them in the right place/folder

Are you using the Manual or Automatic installer?

 

If you're not very good with computers I recommend the automatic installer as it will do everything necessary to be able to play the modification for you.

I am good with computers. I went to the LSPDFR website and clicked LSPDFR tab and just clicked download. Didn't know there was a manual or auto installer. I downloaded it and read the directions. I believe i did that part right, but adding mods and plugins i dont think i put them where they should be. I went to youtube and typed in how to install and watching something now

Windows 7 is usually fine, that's what I run.

 

Reference plugins, you will generally find most plugins have installation instructions. Depending on the plugin, some are simple, some have a few more types of files like .XML. Most have just a .dll and .ini file, which USUALLY go in the plugins folder. HOWEVER, just read the instructions.

 

After you do it a few times, you'll get the hang of where they go. Do plugins one at a time, install, then use SHIFT key while launching the ragehookplugin.exe, so you can go into settings for plugins and set your plugins to launch on each start (unlless you want to enable them each time in game console F4). Go in and check the plugin is operational.

 

Again, slow and steady starting out. And also there are things in some of the .ini's you can adjust to your liking. Also realize there will be some plugins that conflict at times with key assignments.
