Frame drop when approaching suspect during traffic stop

Featured Replies

When I'm walking up to a suspect during a traffic stop my FPS drops significantly and then bounces back once I walk back to my car, any ideas what's causing this?

A change in the way GTA works in the most recent update has caused the performance of some mods to drop in certain circumstances. The next version of Traffic Policer should address this issue. This is available for beta testing in Albo's loyalty programme now and I'm sure will be available publicly before long.

As you might guess, I make PeterUCallouts. I love working to bring LSPDFR players the kind of callouts that strike a good balance between realism and fun and are stable & varied!

Unfortunately I cannot offer support via PM -- please use the forums, so that others may benefit from your solutions!

Alright thanks. I've noticed a small FPS drop in the city as well. Instead of getting a constant 60, I get ~55. I think it's related to a plugin because when I removed all plugins I was getting a constant 60 again. Could it be ALPR lite or the LoJack plugin causing this? My guess is that they're scanning nearby vehicles and it's causing a slight hit to performance, but that's just a guess.

Jacklop21 I been having Lag issues every since the update as well!

during a Traffic stop when you get in front of the driver window its a Lag now

also now When using keep calm i get bad lag as well!

So far i updated everything . and started running the game without some plugins and seems the update of this doomsday crap lol have impact performace! soo i came to a conclusion !

1) Some updates are out of date and may cause performance issues and in the logs i started getting plugins outdated warning!

to solve it: just install the plugins that is  out of date but it would be a downgrade!  on my side its little lag so i can live with it lol untill our lovly wonderful modders have time to update the plugins! :)

2) if you have keep calm install its best you unstall it for now and play till a update comes out to fix the FPS drop! cause it makes my game unplayable! TBH

I did number 2 and it help alot. only lag on traffic stops!

My set up is

windows 8.1

16 gigs ddr3 of ram gfx 970 4 gigs pci express

AMd  6 core processer!'

I hope this helps BTW happy new years! :)

Happy new years! I don't use keep calm, but I do have quite a few plugins installed. The game isn't unbearable so I can probably deal with it until plugins start getting updated.

+1 to the above. I had keep calm installed and it caused many lags. I couldn’t even get it to run smoothly. I have realistic speed radar and lspdfr 0.31 and Albos plug-ins and a few callout packages. Mainly Tacco and Wilderness and PeterU Callouts.

@PeterU thanks for developing a great callout Pack by the way! I love responding to all of them. Keep up the great work. (I know this is off topic but wanted to publicly thank you.)
