June 26, 201213 yr Greetings everyone. I am very new to this website and after doing a quick search for 'Windows7', 'Windows7Home', 'Windows7Crash' and other variants, I found no topics relating to this issue. If it turns out there are in fact topics regarding this issue already, and I, for some reason, missed them, could you please direct me to them and I apologise for posting this. I have been thinking to myself that being a police officer on GTA IV would be brilliant, and when I finally discovered this Mod a week ago, I was really excited and couldn't wait to try it out. I immediatley installed GTA IV and downloaded LCPDFR. I am running Windows 7 Home edition, Service Pack 1 and GTA IV installed perfectly without any problems, so I assumed I'd be able to use this mod. However, I couldn't install the mod right away as I was missing the .NET Framework and Games for Windows Live. After installing the 2 missing items LCPDFR installed successfully, which lead me to believe it'd work and I'd be able to play. But, when I tried to run GTA IV to go on duty I got an error that GTA IV had stopped running when it hadn't even started. This happened a few times before I finally got angry and uninstalled everything. Now, I know I ideally should've made a note of what error I was experiencing, but it was along the lines of it not being able to create a folder and access was denied. I was really disappointed as I was really excited and looking forward to finally being a police officer. Are there any known issues with Windows 7? Are there any known methods to resolve them? If so, can you please let me know as I am still very excited about this Mod.
June 26, 201213 yr You need to run properties in the Launch file. It needs to run as XP Service Pack 3. I just figured that out.
