"Install it All" mod

Featured Replies

I was wondering if anyone could create a mod or script or something that automatically installs all (or some, but still multiple) scripts and plugins you have at once.

Don't know what else to say about it so yeah. If anyone could do that it would be freakin' awesome.

I don't understand the point of signatures on this site. What the fuck is the point?

I'm slightly confused.  If you're asking for a script that automatically installs everything for you, then no, that isn't possible, nor would I ever advise this.

I didn't say it was possible, I was just wondering if there was a soul brave enough to take on the task

How exactly would this work, though?  You'd still need to download the mods first.  Would you place them all on your desktop, then run the script/mod?  If so, even if it did work, I would never ever back something like this.  You'd have to give this mod access to your computer so it could move everything to the proper location.  That'd be a recipe for disaster.

It's hardly any different to the situation now where any  LSPDFR plugin or script mod has 100% access as your user on your system though, is it?

I personally think the only issue with this would be permissions, which is already a big issue as it is. It wouldn't be too different to packs which people already itch and moan about.

OpenIV's OIV Package import does that. Although I advise against it in just about everything except prop/static object mods.

Scripts and plugins don't need installers. They're literally just drag and drop. Takes one click, move of the mouse, and release of the button. You've got to be dead stupid to have issues with that.

@Kallus RourkeAn example are update checks, I can already start a browser you have and open a link to the RPH website...
