My game crashes on the first loading screen, all I did before this started to happen was change out the skins on my police 1 2 and 3 cars, once I noticed the crash I switched the skins back to what I had before and the game still crashes. It was working an hour before that. Any help?

Please rename your mods folder to _mods

 

Now try loading into the game.  Does it load and let you play?

The above linked gameconfig is meant to go into your mods folder.  mods / update / update / common / data

Yes all of my stuff is installed, like I said played like an hour before it started crashing and everything worked fine.

For right now, to verify what the problem is, remove it and hop in to play.

Ok I'll do that, I just removed it and put it back and still crashes. Will update soon

I was having the exact same problem as you and I just fixed mine a minute ago. Turns out that by me altering my carvariations file too much, it mucked my shit up. All I did was removed some lines I had added and Im back in business, if you edited any files like that, try replacing them to default and see if that works.

I think I edited one a while back but I don't remember which one :/ also couldn't edit them back to default cause I didn't make a back up of it.

So I removed script hook and the game loaded.

The problem is ScriptHookV, then.  Try doing a fresh install of ScriptHookV and see if that fixes it.
