Traffic stops without siren and driver cussing

Featured Replies

When you pull a car over right now, your siren automatically blips - unrealistic, because in real life it doesn't do it automatically.  Also, you can hear the driver swear - again, unrealistic, because they are in a separate car - you would not be able to hear them even if they were screaming at the top of their lungs.

This is a duplicate of a topic I made in mod suggestions - because I don't know if this is something modders can do.  It may need to be enabled by LSPDFR devs themselves, since this functionality is part of LSPDFR.  So I'm putting this here because of that.  Mods, please no bully.

Would you prefer if I trash your other topic and just leave this one here as an LSPDFR suggestion?

I think an option that is beneficial, if possible, is to give you the option to choose if it automatically blips the siren.   I know a lot of people who do both, sometimes let the game do it for them, and other times, upon turning on their lights and tagging a vehicle, will manually blip the siren on top of the automatic blip.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

It's your decision.  I only posted the other topic in case it was possible to mod this in without involving the LSPDFR devs.  Considering LSPDFR itself hasn't been updated in over a year I don't have high hopes for anything being added or changed, which is why I made the suggestion for modding, in case that was possible - but I figured I should also suggest the same here, in case it's not possible to mod it in, and on the off chance the LSPDFR devs will actually update LSPDFR.

Sirens don't automatically blip or w/e. Being you're turning your lights on to stop someone, it's a feature that acts as if you pressed the siren to let them hear.

It literally does automatically blip.  I have been pulled over before.  The cops do not use their sirens unless the driver fails to stop for the lights.  They turn their lights on only to do a typical traffic stop.  Maybe it's not the same everywhere, but for me, it ruins immersion to have the siren sound itself considering:

1. I didn't press the man button, and

2. Cops, in my experience, don't use the siren for a normal traffic stop

No, I'm saying in agreement that they don't auto blip irl. The man button only goes for people using ELS. Plenty of cops do use the siren. It's just a matter of choosing to or not to. The thing is, if it was a separate function, that's another key used up for a really pointless little feature. Could be an option though for people who want to do it in ELS if they use it instead of the default one.

oh contraire mon ami my agency when you turn the lights on to do a traffic stop the siren is programmed to go off automatically. So it is realistic lol

Well yes, I am saying that LSPDFR should not require a siren to pull someone over at all.  If someone wants to tap their man button, that's their choice to do it or not.  But the car should just pull over from the lights.  Or, ideally:  Cars should have a small chance to not pull over from the lights, in which case you must blip your siren to get them to pull over.

Well then I guess it is realistic for you - and I will say - happily - that I have not been pulled over many times.  Twice, actually.  But those times were in two different states and neither time did they use the siren.  And I have been a passenger in a car that was stopped at least one other time that I can remember - no siren.  So for me, and all my experience, it is very unrealistic.

It's not unrealistic or a break of immersion, it's just a little feature the creators added for detail. Not all cops do it, but some cops do.

Well we will have to agree to disagree on this, but surely we can agree on my second point - there is no way you would hear the person swearing from inside their car.  That should definitely be taken out (or at least made optional).

Could be removed, but being its there, theres nothing you can do about it. Voices sound upon distance, not from where they are. Just on how close they are to you.

There are mods in GTAIV that silence reactions from peds, not sure if similar exists for V

Ok I didn't read all of the responses...

Police where I live ALWAYS use full manual sirens or blips when pulling someone over, because somehow the lights arent enough but regardless it is realistic usually it is a manual choice but some departments they are automatic, and regardless most departments do use their sirens when pulling people over. Regarding the ped talking, I have never noticed it and I doubt it can be edited so I don't think it really matters...
