I'm confused, how do you go from a lightbar on your 2011 Taurus to Visual Setting's? Local Law Enforcement's have strict law's about anything you install on your vehicle that is police related:

1) You have to tell your local department your installing them

2) They cannot be red and blue

3) they have to be uniquelly placed to that of the opposite of police vehicle's

4) i saw a yellow Whelen EDGE 9000mm Strobe Lightbar on a Cobalt LS.. the car is purple.. with a yellow lightbar..and it look's really gay..

Actually your wrong about 2 & 3 . It all depends on your state. In my state, I am an EMT-I with Blue lights on my POV to respond to calls as a backup when needed. Some states are different as I remember but in California when I was a Basic . You werent allowed Red,Blue,or Amber together (I had Amber with White lights and they allowed me to have it. Shockingly but they did. I no longer live in California full time so they might have changed their rules.

im fairly sure that in Colorado at least to have blue or red lights on your vehicle you must be a sworn LEO, or it has to be an emergency services vehicle. Using it on your POV will get you arrested for impersonating a police officer.

Even as a sworn LEO, i think in CO you cant put them on your POV.

As far as placing it on your POV, im fairly sure the laws in the rest of the USA reflect what it is in CO in regards to this.

If I was a cop and i saw someone in a 2011 tarus with a lightbar on it, they'd be getting it confiscated.

Think about it this way.

Have you passed the EVOC course? Everyone else with blue and red's have... and that's why they're allowed to use them!

you will probably be stuck with orange/amber and white. In CO, white is illegal unless you're on a motorcycle during the day. so idk about white.

People saying "no red and blue" seem to be mostly talking about what the average joe can put on his car. IF it is being used for emergency services, the rules may be different. To people talking about POVs vs. official vehicles: In a number of states, volunteer firefighters *can* put emergency lights on their POVs, because they don't live at a station. From the looks of it, this is EMT work, and I don't know what the rules are there. Could be allowed, could be not allowed, could be you get "courtesy lights" (which mean "please let me pass you, I'm on the way to an emergency", but don't let you violate any traffic laws).

@OP: If you're working for an ambulance service right now, why don't you ask a supervisor? He/she would have a much better idea than a bunch of people on the internet.

Actually, looking at his post, he isn't asking about legality. In that case, I'd assume he has asked someone who knows the situation, and has confirmed that he's within the law. So, I'd say that talking about legality is sort of pointless, and to just point him to cheap lights.
