Did something change with Ragepluginhook or steam GTAV? steam update?

I have now reinstalled GTAV (using backed up clean folder of GTAV) and every time I start the game via the Ragehook icon, the game starts but LCPDFR does not launch.  I keep hitting F4 and the console is not there and wont show up. I have launched it over and over again after a clean install and still wont start the mod. But the GTAV game starts fine. What did I do wrong? Is there a hidden file somewhere causing this issue?

 

I made sure to backup a clean folder of GTAV before any mods or plugins are added. And so I delete everything and start fresh, reinstalling all plugins but to avail.

My friend was having the same issue, the fix that worked for him, is to start GTA normally, and then launch RAGE when you're in game. While it's annoying to do, I hope it helps.

I will give that a try. I really don't know what happened. I was originally having trouble getting the ELS lights to be brighter. Now that I was able to resolve that, with RadianceV, this issue cropped up.

That's what seemed to help. Thanks for suggesting that.

Not sure why I had to do that. Oh well.

Not a problem glad I can help. Like I said, it's annoying, but at least you can play LSPDFR.

Has anyone created a patch to resolve this weird issue with needing to start the regular GTAV first before you can play LSPDFR? 

 

It's gotten so annoying. Didn't do this when I first downloaded and played the game. Now it's become the rule whenever I start the game (after several clean installs of the game)

For the console fix:
Go into the Rage Settings -> Game Settings -> Command Line Switches.
Look for "Force Windowed mode." Check it.

 

And for ELS: 
Make sure your window tint is none, not black. :)
