So I just placed this lightbar on a model and it shows up in game and brake lights and headlights flash when lights turned on but the lightbar's lights do not flash or light up at all..

they are incorrectly named. they there shouldn't be any _L0 at the end, just extra_#. and for 5 and 6 its not extra5, its extra_5.

with the _L0 added to it does it alter it in game?

yes, the game is looking for extra_1, not extra_1_L0. and im assuming you dont know how to compound lods? this should help you understand how.

So the lights now work but the brightness is so dim you can hardly see them, while using a visual mod that enhances light whereas other vehicle mod's lights are bright.

Make sure the material for the lights is set to vehicle_generic_lightemissive

Ok thanks, now my lights are bright but now one set of alleys are just turned on idle and can't turn it off.

are those set as extra_11? you may have another extra_11 in the car, causing them to not work properly
