ELS Vehicles acting weird

This is surely a common problem but when I drive a car with ELS and extras, the extras flash on the car.. like if I had one of those FIB Buffalos, when I hit "J" which activates the lights, the front bumper thing flashes (not lights flashing, like the actual front fender thing flashes). If I hit J again, the front bumper and another Extra (like the camera thing) flashes too if I turn on the lights.

 

Any idea what causes it?
